Yesterday was odd

Just some rambling thoughts from yesterday…

How does a specific trainer go from no wins on the dirt, to almost sweeping the whole meet in one day?

Also..
A couple of Maidens ran and were claimed , and then the vet said they were void of being claimed. If they were void, how are they racing in the first place? One was the winner too.

Jim Dandy Nominations

Who do you think will run first ?
Who are your top 3?

Surely Solo and Ocelli won’t run since it was so close to the Haskell? Emerging Market is running an optional claimer soon.

I’ll go with Renegade Commandment, chip Honcho

Great White

He’s the one who captured my attention and got me into horse racing.. it’s Awful quiet on the home front about him since the Preakness . I know he was one of the biggest and youngest to race. Can’t forget about his epic display at the Kentucky Derby.

What paths do you see him on for the future.

Emerging Market

Emerging Market looks like is going to run an optional claimer at Saratoga next Saturday.
Has something happened to him??

And yes, I’m the one with questions about claiming races since I’m still very new to this. Does an “optional claimer” give the owners the possibility of selling or not selling, it’s up to them if the price is right?

Claiming Races?

So I’m very green when it comes to racing. What exactly is a horse claiming race?. Is the claim made before or after the race and is the price fixed and who does the claiming and why do owners put their horses in these specific races??
Thanks

A few Anemone Seedlings from my garden

I love anemone form Dahlias because I think they’re so whimsical. And these were all seeds that I saved from my own garden last year from other seedlings

Follow up on Myracehorse

My kids definitely wanna go ahead and just buy one share for my birthday. Just for fun. I think they wanna say their mom has a share in a racehorse, even though it’s maybe one hair of the horse 😂😂😂 but they don’t know which one to choose because we don’t live near any race tracks. Our state does not have racing.

You guys are the experts ..
of the horses listed which one would you choose and why?

Which one do you like better and why?

Both of these are first year seedlings from seed I saved (open pollination) from my garden last fall. Which one is your favorite and why? Both are sturdy stems with no bobble heads.
