Contrasting opinions from different heat pump installers
I had 2 heat pump installers coming over recently to produce a heat loss survey and recommend an adequate heat pump system for my property.
Without going into too much detail about the property itself as I don't think it's necessary in this case (but please ask away if you think otherwise), I would like to understand the following:
I noticed both installers used the same software to produce the heat loss survey: it turns out my 4 bed detached has a 6kw heat loss.
The first installer says I need to replace 8 radiators out of 11. His reasoning is that each room has its own heat loss and the radiators need to be correctly sized to produce enough heat for that room.
The second installer says there is no need to replace any radiators. He says that with a heat pump, running constantly, the heat from one room moves to another (through walls, doors, etc) and that produces a uniform temperature throughout the house.
Who's right?
