Bad experiencia with boosteroid
I used to play exclusively on GeForce NOW, but I decided to give Boosteroid a try because it supports games that GFN doesn’t, especially Fellowship.
My first thought was: “Well, Boosteroid is more expensive than GeForce NOW, so I guess the bigger game library comes with a better service.”
I couldn’t have been more wrong.
During my very first week, it was almost impossible to play. Boosteroid wasn’t updating the game as new patches were released. Every single day I had to open a support ticket asking them to update the game. By the time they finally did, I usually had to log off.
Now, after that first week, I’ve spent the last three - four days dealing with constant lag to the point where the game is completely unplayable. The strange thing is that my own connection is perfectly fine with very low latency.
I contacted support again, and they told me that the server hosting the game is no longer available for my region (Spain), so they’re routing me to a different location. The result? Once again, I can’t actually play.
I know they probably won’t issue a refund just because one specific game isn’t working properly, but it’s incredibly frustrating when one of the main reasons I subscribed—the few games that aren’t available on GeForce NOW—is effectively unplayable.
So, for anyone thinking about switching from GeForce NOW to Boosteroid just because of the larger catalog, my experience has been that it’s not worth it. I’ve ended up paying for both GeForce NOW and Boosteroid, and Boosteroid has been a huge disappointment so far.
Has anyone else had a similar experience?
