Hawaii cost of living

Hey everyone! I currently live in New Jersey and i work for the United States Postal Service, which allows me to transfer anywhere in the United States if there is a job opening. My wife will be finishing up nursing school soon and we would like to move somewhere else. She has visited Hawaii and loved it there, and we did live in Florida for a few years. Florida was much cheaper thank New Jersey, but I was not a fan of all the alligators while i was kayak fishing. We moved back to New Jersey after a few years in Florida to help some family out. New Jersey’s rent rates are about double the price of most Florida and we’re getting about half the living space. If we do make the move to Hawaii it’s looking like the best chance for us both to find jobs would be on the island of Oahu. I looked on some realty websites and it looks like we afford to buy a condo which is fine for us as we don’t have children. My main concern is the pricing of daily life. I wanted to see if anyone can help me figure out if we can make this move work. If i buy a 2 bedroom condo, roughly 800-1000 square feet, what can i expect the monthly utilities costs to be? Electric, water, internet, gas (if there is a propane stove) what are fuel prices like per gallon right now? How much should I expect to spend a week on groceries for 2 people? How much is an average night out, nothing fancy, just a few beers and dinner for 2? Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Fish finder exposed wires

Hey guys, so i recently bought a new old town pdl 120 pro and i picked up a garmin echomap uhd 74sv. I spent an afternoon prepping the new kayak and finally wiring the fish finder. So i will be using the fish finder when i go out on lakes and some rivers in the NJ/PA area, but sometimes i just wanna spend a day with the boys floating down the river casually fishing and drinking some beers. On these trips, i wont be using my fish finder and that leaves me with the power supply and sonar power supply cords just laying there unprotected. I contacted garmin and they said they dont make cover for the ends of these cables which is kind of crazy but ok. So i took a waterproof cigerette box, drilled out the bottom of the box and snaked the wires through. Then i covered the opening with neoprene rubber waterproof tape, and wrapper that in a layer of gorilla duct tape. It isnt pretty, but it works for now to stop muck and grime from clogging up the pins on these cables. Does anyone know of a product made for this though? I feel like theres gotta be something out there i just havnt seen in my google efforts.

Song i heard in nassau

Hey everyone, so i visited nassau for the first time last may. Me and my wife had a great time and while i was there i heard this song played in multiple areas maybe 10 or more times. I cant find the song no matter what u do. The only thing i can actually remember is the first part of the chorus which sounded like, welcome to the island baby, and the second part i cant remember but sounded like the guy was singing, you dont have to, you dont have toooo. If anyone can actually figure that out its been a mission for me to complete for a year! If not, is there anyway i can find a song play list that is ised by sandals, bahamar or atlantis? I think i also heard it at junkanoo beach. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you!
