Has this lovely lady previously dropped her tail?

Her name is Ruby, we just got her today, the shop we got her from is pretty sure she had dropped the end of her tail at some point before(her tail is shorter and more round at the tip), but they did not think she fully dropped her tail.

Also I find it interesting that upon bringing her home and placing her in the tank she decided to take a nap out in the open like this, I was expecting her to enter one of the hides.

The face of someone who has not learned their lesson.

Important disclaimer: This is a screenshot from the very end of a video, when she rolled over like this I immediately put my phone away and helped her back to the right orientation.

She was rubbing herself on the ground and I honestly didn’t think she’d manage to roll herself over like that. Subsequent ground rubbings I did put my foot on one of the wheels to prevent another roll.

Apparently this corner is prime nursery relestate

There’s tons of fresh babies hanging out in this area, noticeably more than the rest of the tank and I’ve seen multiple pregnant pods hanging around here over the past few weeks. Not entirely sure why they like this corner so much, but I suspect the plant might be involved, also me putting extra shrimp in there, but that happened after I noticed.

We got a second generation!!

Started this colony almost two years ago, first generation came late August-early September last year, great growth over the months. Now babies, even better, thriving!

Was moving the shell to get the frass off and noticed the babies on the back.
