Co-Own parents home

Location: Cleveland Ohio.
Parents home in name of Dad, his wife (step mom), and me. I have no money invested in house, but name is on deed and mortgage. Dad is dying soon. Stepmom will want to sell house and downsize, as she is getting frail. Question: Should I push to take 1/3 of the profit if sold, or leave it all with stepmom to fund housing etc for balance of her life? (she has no kids or other family). I can see practical arguments both ways.

Caulking where garage exterior meets concrete (framing, not garage door)

Where garage framing meets concrete at top of driveway — looking to seal / caulk to protect from moisture. What product would I use?

Unpermitted driveway

Neighbor couldn’t get a driveway permit (application denied) so he put in crushed concrete / gravel one instead, with no curb cut, along our property line. Do I report it to the city? Technically a gravel pad doesn’t require a permit, but to use it as a driveway requires a curb cut - and that requires a permit.

Reach out to estranged friend?

My close friend and I became distant during Covid, and it never improved. We each had life / work changes, and things just changed. She’s into church / family, I’m a liberal with no kids. (long story short). I’m not sure I want to reconnect or if it would work . BUT she remains someone I care about even if we’ve changed. So… recently I’ve learned (via social media) her parents are having health issues. I’m thinking of texting her to just say I’m thinking of her parents, who are good special people. (I’d hate to find out they passed - and not have connected at all). But I’m also resentful she didn’t reach out when I was struggling these last few years, and she doesn’t know about my husband’s cancer scare & surgery last year. Anyway - is it weird to text her that I’m thinking of her folks? Even if friendship is pretty damaged? I’ve seen her like 2 times in 5 years. Have not heard from her in about 1 year. Basically a text once a year.

I suspect I may have something like colitis, after years of dealing with pain and lower digestive issues. Seeing GI doc soon. I’m also wanting to start HRT, but have to consult GI doc first. Anyone with experience? Did HRT help or worsen irritable bowel diseases? All my issues seemed to start in my forties, my now 54 and 3 yrs post menopausal.
