So Im having major anxiety my doctor wants me to see a psychiatrist for evaluation . He prescibes me clonzapam already and im worried about 2 things seeing the psychiatrist. 1 . That she will ask me about my past drug use which I do have . 2 recommends the clonzapam the only medicine im willing to take to be taking away from me . If I go and get this valuation, will this doctor have authority over my prescription? Im also very fearful to disclose my past use . Has anybody been in this situation where they worked with two doctors ?

What do i expect going to my first psychiatry appointment? Im having alot of anxiety .

He is a PMHNP that works in the doctors office . Will he be controlling what medicine i now will get ? Im so scared he will try to take my clonzapam away

Since I have put on a lot of weight from smoking and steroid inhalers. I have noticed I have an umbilical hernia in my belly button. I do have severe emphysema copd diagnosis. I have brought it up to my doctor and because it's not causing me any pain.We haven't went talked any further about any treatments . I hate how it looks 😒 and just one more problem i don't need. Has anyone here gotten surgery here for an umbilical hernia? Would i need to be fully asleep ?

Please can anyone help me overcome globus sensation. I have had anxiety my whole life and now out of the blue started to have tightness in my throat. One of my triggers is my anxiety medicine that I have taken for many years . Im now associating the medicine as a cause to this globus sensation ( its when I get the most anxious and my throat tightening) I read online some people have had this for many years. Im so screwed. It's not like when you take your anxiety medicine that the sensation quiet down . No medicine is taking this symptom away !!!

I been monitoring my throat . I suppose because im monitoring my breathing . Its been tight for weeks now and im just exhausted 😩 There is literally nothing I can do to stop this feeling in my throat. Has anyone eles experience globus sensation and things that helped the feeling go away

So i have severe emphysema stage 3 I live at home with my parents whom smoke in the bedroom beside me . Selfishly will not go outside in the winter. I quit smoking 2 years ago . So im forced to stay a winter with them . What would be the best affordable air purifier for second hand smoke that I can purchase ? It said in my research that it should come with a carbon filter if its for smoke?

Does anyone still vape or smoke with emphysema? I quit smoking but I sit here and have anixety panic attacks about my health now that im just coming to the point of just living my life out doing what i enjoy . I quit smoking to stay a little longer on earth for what ? To sit here and still suffer mentally and physically and nothing ever gets better . Like what is the point? Im gonna die anyways

Please had anyone had this throat sensation and what helped you get rid of it . I know its my anxiety causing my throat to feel tight and its soooooo annoying i've been feeling like this for 5 day now .. Am I stuck feeling this feeling forever ? I never had throat tightness issues before with my anxiety so its a added addition to my already list of anxiety symptoms that I dont need . This one is annoying because it does not go away at all !!! Suggestions of what to do and how people overcome this sensation

Please someone help I never had throat tightness as a symptom of my anxiety its now becoming a staple everyday symptom for me . I have had anxiety disorder for over 20 years and this is now becoming a new EVERYDAY symptom . I need help the feeling is so annoying . I don't want to think of my throat being tight every second of the day . If anyone eles experience this symptom PLEASE help me am i forever gonna have throat tightness? Has anyone ever overcome this ? Im still breathing just fine its just me always now thinking and feeling of this symptom and I cant stop it !!!

I just have a hard time wrapping my head around my diagnosis emphysema at 40 years old stage 3 . My parents whom are in their 60 and 70s very heavy smokers who were around second hand smoke as a child dont even have this type of diagnosis. I remember it was after covid i started having chest pains that led me to the e r that led me to x rays that said my lungs were hyperinflated . I remember seeing my first pulmonologist that highly doubted I had emphysema because of my age . I remember doing google searches where it also clarified that having emphysema at 40 year olds was very rare . She did a catscan and was in shock i had emphysema . I was very hopeful it was wrong because pulmonolgist and Google searches all stated it was very rare. Fast forward to my second pulmonolgist a whole new different hospital a whole new catscan !!! She as well was very doubtful of my diagnosis i was giving. We did another catscan severe Centrilobular Emphysema . So my question is why was pulmonolgist thats been in this field for over 20 years so shocked and doubtful someone of my age would have emphysema? Am I just a rare case or is it younger people now getting this diagnosis? On internet searches now when I ask about emphysema its " magically" that's strange lowered the number you could have emphysema to 40 . When I tell you before I got diagnosed and doing my research on it . 40 was veryyyyyyyyyy rare to have have emphysema. It said emphysema was a 65 year old 2 pack a day smokers disease . I have a 25 year pack history of smoking im only 40 years old . We apparently need to warn younger people they can get emphysema as young as 40 . I never thought someone of my age could get emphysema since my parents are still here smoking . I would expect someone of their age and smoking history would be more acceptable to this disease but 40 years old ???

So im prescribed clonzapam for my panic attacks I get 15 tables with only 2 refills my last refill was in march . I am having an upcrease in anxiety . Im running low and i don't have a doctor's appointment until August. I have such bad anxiety calling and asking my doctor for any refills for I fear she will say no and wont do a refill and that causes me more anxiety . Does anyone else have this problem asking the doctor for medicine for they fear they will say no . I have to ask everytime I need a refill causes me so much anxiety . I have no refills left

I get panic attacks while sometimes driving but I have to drive my son to work . I had a panic attack the other day bringing him and now im shaking up about taking him . I hide my panic attacks from him because he is now showing signs that he has panic attacks . Its very frustrating because im trying to protect him from seeing me going thru panic attacks . Anyways tips I need tips when im driving what can i do if I get a panic attack

So i been having my panic attacks all my life . My son is now recently getting panic attacks . He understands that he is having panic attacks . So I guess my question is he is a teen and idk if therapy is the right choice for him . I know once I knew I was having panic attacks and knew what they were my life kinda went down hill . I dont know if its better for him to understand panic attacks or try to keep him from going to therapy ( therapy never helped me ) . If your child start having panic attacks like you what would be your approach to it . If you knew everything you do now . Its stressful enough I have my own panic attacks now have to try to keep my panic attacks together because he is watching me and now is picking up panic attack disorder. He doesn't know i have panic attacks because I HIDE them to the best of my ability because I just dont want him to go thru what i been through .

Just venting sick and tired of not able to breath well or do anything. Im over it !!! Just want my life back 😪

Can someone please help me / guide me for what you do for anticpation anxiety . I have a hair appointment in 11 days but been shaking and having anxiety about it

Im anticipating having a panic attack ( ive never been to those place ) and also thinking the hair dye is gonna effect my breathing. Im like obsessively thinking the scenario over my mind How it's going to go . So i've been thinking, I think I do this with a lot of upcoming appointments . I will fixate on what im having anxiety about and obsessively think about it up to the appointment. Im prescribed clonzapam for my anxiety but I only take it on the days of the appointment i only have a limited supply but the few weeks before appointment up to the day is so dreadful !!!

What is everyone eles doing for this?

Just a question does anyone here have emphysema that still get their hair dyed ? I really want to get my hair done but i guess i been scared into not doing it because the fumes can trigger shortness of breath i read others say . Me personally I have not experienced this, but I do have a good nose and smell everything strongly. So I don't know if I should go ahead and do it, or what precautions should I take If I do have a reaction. I do have emphysema its severe but im not on oxygen yet . I would just like to hear if anybody has went and got their hair done And was fine

I have severe emphysema diagnosis at the age of 40 . I quit smoking but my parents whom I live with that I happen to take care of before diagnosis smoke in the room next to me . I have a blanket for a door because there is not a real door and can't get them to get one . Im just venting because its very frustrating that I'm trying to protect my lungs and they smoke in the house . No matter how many catscans i've had and proof that i've have emphysema they dont think im sick .They dont have lung issues at 70 and they think im just exaggerating my diagnosis. . I just want to know if anyone eles is in the same predicament I am with second hand smoke . Right now my anxiety is tooooo bad to even get a place of my own and really cant afford it . Im just really lost on what I can do .
