Backyard batting cage

Hi everyone, hoping to get some advice on setting up a home batting cage in our yard for my 11 year old son. Ideally, I want something that is robust enough to last him a few years but also won’t break my bank. We would be doing both hitting and pitching inside the cage. So far, I’m looking at a 40’ Vevor batting paired with a Blaze combo pitching machine. Any feedback on this setup and/or alternative cages/machines would be greatly appreciated. Budget would be in the $1000 - $1200 range.

Fake website alert

Definitely a case of too good to be true. One of the first things that popped up in google when I was searching for Wilson A2000. In sponsored products section too. Mizuno is spelled incorrectly in the web address as giveaway. Be careful out there.

NGD Marucci Ascension

So the Mizuno Pro Select DREAMY I was going to give to my soon 11 yo son as a Christmas present didn’t work out as planned. I realized the finger stalls in the Mizuno would be a little too roomy for his smaller hands and might cause issues with comfort and closing. Since he’s been using a Marucci Acadia up to this point, I decided to stick with the M type fit after I watched a YouTube video review of the best gloves for 12 yo from baseball monkey. They had the Ascension ranked best overall. I was able to find a pretty decent sale online and made the pivot. Beautiful glove and definitely a snugger fit. Not quite as pillowy as his Acadia but more padding than the Mizuno. I feel like it’ll be a good transition glove for the next few years until he’s ready to inherit my A2K.

NGD Mizuno Pro Select DREAMY

Finally got this beauty delivered today. Saw it on sale at Dicks and had to jump on it. 11.75” H web.

My son turns 11 in a couple of months and I plan on giving it to him for Christmas. He currently uses a Marucci Acadia 11.5” single post and I was going to upgrade him to a Cypress or Capital. We checked out some gloves in the store and the Marucci’s were stiff as a brick. This glove is rigid but already feels much more malleable than the Cypress/Capital.

The question I have is, Will this be too much glove for a 11 year old? He’s average to above average height but slim build. They still move around to different positions at his age group so I wanted to get him something with a deeper pocket which this glove seems to have. My concern would be the hand stall size and his ability to close the glove securely. Should I wait until he’s a little older to give this to him?

I also wanted to get some feedback on durability and playability from those that may have had this glove (or similar models) for a while and how it compares to the Marucci’s HOH or A2000?

Thanks all in advance.

Marucci Capital and Cypress

Hi everyone, just wanted to see everyone’s thoughts on the Marucci Capital or Cypress series of gloves?

I see there’s always sales on their website. Glove would be for a soon to be 11 year old.

How do they compare to other higher end gloves such as HOH or A2000/A2K?

Thanks
