You know when you’re driving down a country road on a hot summer day and you see the air like kind of rippling above the road? It looks like that, and I see it near the ends of my rods when I use them. Has anyone else experienced this?

I love to read fantasy/romantasy novels, I’m vegan, curious about esoteric and witchy things, love a good mossy forest, definitely a cat person, recently discovered I like lifting weights, cry easily for any number of reasons, aesthetics are important to me, have a very small inner circle, and I’m a hopeless romantic at heart.
Australians, am I doing this right?
I have only just started using dowsing rods for like a month and they were working for me most of the time. Since then I have gotten separated and moved to a new place, as well as gotten a new pair of dowsing rods (I don’t have the old ones anymore). The new ones are copper and I’ve gotten them to work a couple of times but it’s very slow and seems to be only the right one will move inward for yes, and only the left one will move outward for no but these ones don’t move at the same time and actually most of the time I now can’t get them to move at all.
Does anyone have any idea why it’s not working for me now, or what I can do to make it work better?
