Hii girls of Reddit! I’m 22F and I’m in Pune for the next 3 months for my internship, currently staying in the Nigdi Pradhikaran area.
Honestly, weekends have started getting a little boring. Most of my friends are back home or live too far away, so I end up spending Saturdays and Sundays scrolling endlessly or sitting in my room.
Would love to make a few genuine friends nearby to grab coffee, try new cafés, go on evening walks, explore Pune, watch a movie, or just yap about life. I’m pretty easygoing and always down for spontaneous plans.

Could anyone share what the placement scenario is like for M.Tech students(CSE)? How are the opportunities, average packages, and overall placement percentage? Also, what kind of companies usually visit the campus?
also like to know how competitive the admissions are and what the cutoff has been in recent years

I’ll be coming to IIIT Pune this summer for an internship, and I had a few questions. Would really appreciate honest insights from current students or anyone who’s stayed there!

About the girl’s hostel:

- How are the rooms? (sharing/single, cleanliness, facilities)

- Hostel rules/timings - very strict or manageable?

- Mess food - how bad/good are we talking? 😭

- Safety and security

- WiFi, laundry, daily convenience

Also, about the hostel allotment process (for interns):

- How do interns usually apply for hostel accommodation?

- Do we need to contact someone specific or fill out a form?

- Is it allotted easily or limited/competitive?

Would love any tips or things I should sort out before arriving!
