Got cut two times today

One with a sharp knife, then a shaving blade.
Both on the left hand, very close to each other.
I’m choosing to look at these accidental cuts as something that’s deflecting a larger harm. Like taking a small hit so something worse doesn’t reach me😭

SERIOUS: for the women here please

Bro, the women that exist in the higher income spaces in Dubai (those expensive cafes, networking events etc.) are SOOOOOOO pretty!
Like they’re GLOWING.
And I feel like if I ever stepped into such a space, I’d just not be taken seriously because I feel like the beauty standards for women in Dubai is so high 😭
if you’re a woman who takes pride in their beauty routine and appearance, please share some tips 🥹
What’s the secret😭 is it like just natural beauty?

Do parents grieve their child because…

Do parents grieve their child because they GENUINELY loved them, or because all the emotional, physical, and financial investment they put into them suddenly became meaningless?

Do you get lobotomized in heaven

Is heaven perfect because it's good, or because it removes your ability to question it?

A patriarchal society and its effect on what it wants from women.

It is rare that a patriarchal society would want what’s best for women — it’ll always want what’s best for men.
More control, more power, being at the top of the hierarchy etc.
Sure, it does come with a certain level of responsibility… but they are still on top.
This is why women should stop listening to the common crowd and do everything that society claims as “bad” for women, because all that does is keep you submissive and ready to listen to orders from men.

Shelf measurements
Width 25 cm
Length 30 cm
Height 16.5 cm

I don’t really know what I’m looking for, but I’d love some ideas on how to maximize the full storage space of this shelf.

I recently had a dream where I had a white cat, and I miss it so much 😭 even tho I don’t have one currently and I’ve never had one.
I just want to see other people’s cats. It’d be so cute if u shared their names too, and also one thing you love about them ◡̈

In reality, they might only begin to question it if they genuinely believed in women’s rights.

Religion is often weaponized against women, and because many men either lack concern for women or don’t feel the impact themselves, they don’t need to question religion because the truth is.. things are going great for them.

In many Muslim countries, straight Muslim men hold a significant level of privilege.

Even when issues like racism or colorism exist, those are rooted in broader societal systems rather than the religion itself. So within the framework of the religion, they are not the ones being oppressed and because of that, there’s no urgency for them to question it.

As a woman, you're not only being oppressed by people outside of the religion you’re also being oppressed within the religion and inside the cultural context of the religion.

Whether this is the fault of people or the religion itself is unclear. But overall, religion tends to be easier for men.
