5 months old refusing naps
for the past 2-3 weeks my 5 months old has been so hard to settle for naps during the day.
she‘s been going to bed at night between 7-8pm and does a good 11h with 1 feed waking.
lately when she wakes up between 6 and 7, we feed, play then do a small routine for bedtime at the 2h wake window mark and put her down awake in the crib. She will cry until we pick her up, and even when contact napping she will cry to sleep, which always extends her wake window. i try to start the routine 15 mins earlier to allow for the crying time, but its doesn’t work either.
i tried the 2h wake window, 2.15,2.3, 3, etc.
i tried getting her out of the room for a bit then back, it doesn’t work either. we do have the sound machine on and dark room.
im really at a loss at how to put her to bed without her crying every single time, although for bedtime she cries for 10-15 mins then sleeps, but during the day that doesnt work!
for the past two days she has been refusing the first nap and is up for about 4hours. i know she’s overtired but i tried to put her to sleep at least 3-4 times since her 2hrs wake window, went for a stroller walk and that didnt help either.
what can i do to get her to sleep😔
