For over a week now, a flock of about 10 long-tailed tits has been visiting me once a day. The great thing about them—aside from the fact that they look incredibly cute—is that they eat the aphids off my old apple tree. I haven’t seen any other bird do this yet. The tree was heavily infested, and you can already clearly see that the aphid population has decreased somewhat.
Seit gut einer Woche besucht mich einmal am Tag ein Trupp von gut 10 Schwanzmeisen. Das gute dabei ist, außer das sie unheimlich niedlich aussehen ist, dass sie die Blutläuse von meinem alten Apfelbaum abfressen. Das hab ich bis jetzt bei keinem anderen Vogel beobachtet. Der Baum war sehr stark betroffen und man sieht jetzt schon deutlich daß es etwas weniger geworden ist.
Ich hab heute, soweit ich das beurteilen kann, einen Der Große Kolbenwasserkäfer bei mir im Garten gefunden.
Das schon großer Kerl. (Die Hand auf dem Bild gehört meiner 5 jähriger Nichte)
Gleich mal bei Wikipedia rein geschaut:

Ich hab gestern Nacht bei mir im Garten diese zwei, ich denke Tieferschnecken, beim Liebesspiel entdeckt.

I took my first test images with an AP 72/432 FPL53 Photoline OTA. The image shows a section of the constellation Cygnus (the Sadr region with NGC 6888). I only had a total exposure time of one hour, so it was pretty short. But I still think the result is good and it makes me want to do more.

Exposure: 30 x 60 sec at ISO1600 + 30 x 60 sec at ISO3200 with an Optolong L-Extreme DuoNarrowband filter.
