Not providing GP the prescription permit

I went though a comprehensive assessment for ADHD diagnosis, which included psychology assessment before the psychiatrist provided official diagnosis and a medical script. I was happy with that process.

I did a followup appointment with the psychiatrist a couple months later and everyone was happy with medication #1. I asked about about an alternative medication but a month of trying that I decided I didn’t like it so have just continued medication #1. All going well.

During this time I found out you don’t need to be making psychiatrist appointments to top up prescriptions, rather my GP can do it so long as they get a permit. GP provided the documentation with my mental health plan.

But now the first clinic (admin team) is saying I need another - a third - psychiatrist appointment to get that. I was never informed GPs could manage prescriptions (with the right approval) and now I’m being pushed to make a third psychiatrist appointment, which is expensive. I’ve said unless the psychiatrist explains why they need to see me again, there is no reason and I just want that permit provided to the GP. We already had one session plus a follow up and there were no concerns.

Folks I’ve talked to never have such hurdles. Usually that GP permit is given after just ONE appointment with the psychiatrist. And the GP can take over.

Anyone else had such a problem? I feel like I’m being milked for money.

Been a year… what have I missed?

I used my Meta Quest 3 (standalone) fairly regularly for about 18 months - bunch of games and exercise. Also enjoyed big budget movies in the cinema apps.

But then I stopped, due to a mix of needing new games that simply weren’t coming online, and busier life now.

What have I missed in the past 12 months?

How do people feel about VR’s progression?

Any big new games that have come out?

Obviously I’m well aware Horizon is gone. Thankfully. It’s disappointing so much money went into the MetaVerse instead of just gaming.

Main games I enjoyed included Table Tennis, mini golf, Golf+, Resident Evil 2, Pistol Whip, online poker. A few other games like Batman didn’t quite do it for me (and other punching or sword games) because swinging my arms felt too fake without any impact. This is a personal preference, of course. I enjoyed shooting games. And wanted stuff with story and depth. Not another tech demo type game.

I was waiting for Into the Radius 2. The Arizona Sunshine games was also on my to do.

Hello all,

I’m really stuck on whether to buy a “premium” non stick like a Le Creuset or even Demeyere, or go with a “decent” affordable one.

IKEA’s Hemkomst suddenly got famous after an article featured a chef saying how great it was.

I know all Teflon dies, and needs to be replaced.

But when moving homes I used a temporary cheap Teflon on my induction stove and it warped right in the middle anytime you went from a medium or higher heat. So unsure if I need a thicker base for such problems.

I also had Le Creuset and it did last me a good four years, but the sticking has started.

Please note: I’m not after advice on cast iron or stainless steel. I appreciate all those points people will make - I have a mix of tools and there are some jobs I prefer non stick for. And some people in house can only handle non stick.

Also not keen on Hex - I’ll go one style or another. Not a hybrid.

Thanks!
