anyone know what this sound is called or why she is doing this? She is always very content when she does it, purring loudly.

So I really feel horrible about the whole situation.

I got a new enclosure 2 weeks ago and one of the edges of the sliding doors broke off, which I didn't think was a problem, because there was a second glass wall directly behind the damaged one and I didn't think he would be able to squeeze through that OR the holey because the hole isn't even half his size.

But of course he did squeeze through both the gap between the glass and the hole. I heard some loud noises from the living room and ran over to see my kitten with one claw stuck in my snake.

I immediately removed the claw (gently) and the snake.

I inspected him and found some wounds.

After immediately calling everyone and their mother to see who would be able to see him (7pm). I found a vet and sped over, they put 4 stitches in him and gave antibiotics and pain meds.

Does anyone have any tips on how to ensure his wounds heal as best as possible?

Hello, I am currently building a new terrarium for my cornsnake. I have installed 2 lamp holders, and that is where my problem is.

I put in a 150w basking spot lamp which worked fine and still does if I put it in.

That one is a bit too hot so I got a 75 w basking spot and 42w uvb lamp in.

Both of them lit up for about a second and then stopped.

The big lamp still works fine in both lamp holders.

Both of the smaller ones do not.

Any ideas??
