Got mesh strap for MTP 1302

I got this mesh strap for my Casio MTP 1302 as I was a bit fed up of the original bracelet due to bad articulation. My wife didn’t like it but I am loving it, do you guys dig this look?.

I hated this watch, Until I didn’t

This watch genuinely changed my perspective on watch collecting today.

I bought this watch years ago as nothing more than a tool. Back then, I wasn’t really into watches. As my interest in the hobby grew, I started chasing more expensive and flashy pieces. At one point, I even started to dislike this watch. It became the odd one out in my collection, and I seriously considered getting rid of it.

On weekends, I sometimes take out all my watches, wear them one by one, and simply appreciate them. Today, when I put this watch on, I realized something: I bought it to serve a purpose. Most of the watches I’ve acquired since then are no longer tools—they’re collectibles. Somewhere along the way, I started chasing trends and the opinions of reviewers rather than my own needs.

The beauty of this watch lies in its simplicity. It’s tough, practical, and completely unpretentious. You can scratch it, ding it, and wear it through almost anything. It doesn’t demand attention, yet it does exactly what it’s supposed to do.

This made me think about every future watch purchase. Do I really need the watch I’m looking at? Will I actually use it the way it was designed to be used, or will it spend most of its life sitting in a watch box and come out once every few weeks?

If you’ve caught the watch collecting bug as well, maybe take a look through your collection and ask yourself the same question.

If you’ve made it this far, thanks for reading my two cents and let me know what you think, cheers!!
