2012 Lexus GX460 Base v8
I’m dealing with electrical issues, transfer case issues, or something more serious.
Originally had these codes:
- P0761 Shift Solenoid “C” Performance/Stuck Off
- P2714 Pressure Control Solenoid “D” Performance/Stuck
- P0420/P0430 Catalyst Efficiency Below Threshold
Truck also had a badly corroded and cracked battery terminal. After cleaning/replacing the positive terminal, all lights temporarily went away and the truck was able to shift into and out of 4LO correctly.
Now the 4LO light flashes again intermittently and CEL came back with:
- P0157 O2 Sensor Circuit Low Voltage Bank 2 Sensor 2
- P0158 O2 Sensor Circuit High Voltage Bank 2 Sensor 2
- P0607 Control Module Performance
Symptoms:
- No transmission slipping
- No grinding into gears
- Drives/shifts mostly normal
- Steering feels normal
- Slight humming/grinding noise going straight that changes/disappears on bends (possibly wheel bearing?)
- 4LO can engage/disengage
Trying to figure out:
- Could all this still be caused by voltage/electrical issues from the bad battery connection?
- Does this sound more like transfer case actuator/sensor vs transmission failure?
- Anyone seen P0607 triggered from unstable battery voltage on a GX460?
- Could Bank 2 Sensor 2 wiring/sensor failure cause the weird O2 voltage swing codes?
Truck has around 186k miles.
Any GX460 techs or owners seen this combination before
