Marked unfit in medical test for a visa

Hello,

I recently underwent a medical test (Wafid/GAMCA) in India as part of a GCC visa process. The medical centre

marked me unfit stating that my xray showed 'apical plueral thickening'. I later visited a pulmonologist independently for consultation and got chest xrays, sputum and PFT tests done -- with the conclusion that the stated condition does not exist. I'm honestly not sure why the centre would unfairly mark me unfit and it's been frustrating.

I need to prepare for my retest in a month from now but the doctor has told me there's no treatment to take because there's nothing wrong in the first place. Apart from choosing a different medical centre or city, is there anything I can do to reduce the chances of this happening again?

Thank you!

Medical test for visa

Hello,

I recently underwent a Wafid/GAMCA medical test in my home country (India) for my visa, but the medical centre unfairly marked me unfit because when I got the scan done independently at a hospital the stated condition does not exist. The doctors have told me there's no treatment to take because there's nothing wrong in the first place. I'm honestly not sure why the centre would do this and it's been frustrating.

I can now only retake the test after two months. If anyone has been through something similar, I'd really appreciate your advice:

  1. Is there a reasonable chance of clearing the Wafid/GAMCA medical on the retest?

  2. Apart from choosing a different medical centre or city, is there anything I can do to reduce the chances of this happening again?

Thank you!

UAE In-country visa process

Hi everyone! I recently received a job offer in Abu Dhabi, and my employer (with a new office) is planning to have me travel to Abu Dhabi mainland on a tourist visa. Once I'm there, they'll apply for an in-country employment visa and then complete the status change process without me needing to leave the country.

I've tried looking this up online, but most of the information and experiences I can find are about Dubai. I'm hoping to hear from someone who has gone through this process specifically in Abu Dhabi.

If you've been through it (or know someone who has), I'd love to understand:

  1. Are the chances of the initial work permit approval similar for the in-country process compared to applying from outside the country?

  2. How many days did the approval and status change take in your case?

  3. Apart from your passport and employment contract, were any additional documents required?

  4. Is there any reason you would not recommend the in-country process and instead suggest completing the visa from outside the country?

Thank you!
