CHOCOLATE

Hi! Do you know where I can buy different kinds of chocolate here? I’m especially looking for different KitKat flavors, particularly the matcha flavor, or any good matcha-flavored chocolate you’d recommend. Thank you!

Need some advice

Hey everyone, I’m writing this post because I’m in a dilemma. I had made up my mind to get the 17 Pro Max in a day or two. However, while scrolling through social media today, I started seeing multiple videos about issues with the 17 series mainly that battery health is decreasing quickly and the aluminum body gets dented easily. Then I came across a comparison video between the 16 and 17 series, which made me feel like the 16 Pro Max might be the better choice. But at the end of the video, the creator mentioned that the 16 series battery health also drops rapidly after 200 cycles. Now I’m very confused. Should I go for the 16 Pro Max or the 17 Pro Max? Would appreciate some advice from anyone using these devices

Grand mosque - still free?

I’m currently trying to book entry to the Grand Mosque and I’m being asked to pay 10. This is not for fast track entry and it’s using the official website. If I select that I’m a resident of the Emirates it’s half the price. Does anyone know what’s going on, as I thought it was free? Many thanks.

Moving out as an Emirati woman

I want to know if anyone has any stories and suggestions/advice about moving out without permission. I’m 28 years old. My reasons pertains to abuse and toxic control. I’m a practicing Muslim I’m not running away to be rebellious I just cannot live this way anymore. I want to be a functional member of society and experience autonomy. I never finished uni and I have a minimum wage job that also overworks me. I’m planning to switch my career path and maybe study to get a diploma and drivers license. But I cant find any will in the home I live in. I have already contacted authorities multiple times but there was no real solutions offered to me. I don’t plan on never speaking to my family again but I desperately need space from them.

8.5 hours layover, which souk to visit

Hello everybody, I happen to have 8.5hrs layover in Abu Dhabi and I’m hoping to take some time to see this city.

I would love to visit a souk as I’ve never been to one before. I’ll be arriving in AUH around 1:15pm on a Thursday. I’m not sure if souks have specific timings (in my country, markets are usually only open in the morning and close by the afternoon).

  1. Which souk would be worth visiting if I wish to have a more authentic experience (spices/camels/textiles/snacks/etc). Maybe hang around for a quick late lunch or coffee.

  2. will i be able to get an Uber to and fro from the airport?

  3. anything else i can do in Abu Dhabi ? Thinking of visiting the mosque as well but not sure if I’ll have enough time.

  4. How’s the traffic in Abu Dhabi usually like? I need to catch my connecting flight at 9:40pm at AUH so I’m trying to see how much time I need to travel back factoring in traffic.

Will be happy and grateful to have tips and advice. Thank you!

I’ve been going there for a few months now and I’m just curious if anyone else here goes there too. Would be nice to know if there are any familiar faces or fellow Redditors there 🤭

Well, I finally found something. And it's probably not what you expected. 🦎

Hey guys, if you've been following my posts, you probably know I've been having a pretty difficult time finding work here in the UAE.

After a lot of applications, interviews, and uncertainty, I've finally started training with a pet shop here in Abu Dhabi.

They specialize in reptiles and also sell pretty much everything you'd expect from a pet shop: food, cages, toys, cleaning supplies, accessories, and other pet products.

I'm still in training, so I don't know all the prices or how their delivery system works yet. I'll be learning all of that as I go.

Once I have the details, if you're in Abu Dhabi or elsewhere in the UAE and you're looking for something for your pets, feel free to message me. I'll be happy to check what's available, how much it costs, and how delivery works.

Sales, lead generation, and customer service are what I know, so I'm hoping I can bring those skills into the business and actually contribute while I'm learning the pet industry.

I'm honestly not sure yet if this is something I'll pursue as a long-term career. But right now, there's an opportunity in front of me, and I'm going to take it.

I'll still be looking for the kind of career I ultimately want, but that doesn't mean I can't give this opportunity my best while I'm here.

After everything I've posted about trying to find work here, I'm just happy to finally have something to work with.

I didn't expect my job search to take me into the reptile world.

But hey, a job is a job. 😂🦎

And who knows? Maybe I'll end up knowing more about reptiles than I ever expected.

Few questions about car accidents

So I got t-boned today omw to a sculpt class (thank god I was only 5 min late) and the guy was at fault cause he passed a red light (man’s paying 50k fines💔💔)

They called me today to come and give a verbal statement about what happened but I forgot where they asked me to come. Where does one go ?
