I'm moving to Abu Dhabi soon for a software engineering role.

I recently received a job offer in the UAE with a salary of AED 10,000 per month (no housing, just visa & health insurance, relocation amount, first month hotel stay, and a flight home every year), While I’m excited about the opportunity, the salary is lower than I had hoped, especially since I’ll be relocating from abroad specifically for this role.

The company is a large, well-known government-owned organization, and I believe the experience would be excellent for my career.

Would you recommend accepting the offer? How common are salary increases in the UAE? Is there a typical timeline or standard for raises, particularly at large government or government-owned companies? I’m also wondering whether starting at AED 10,000 could lead to significantly higher pay after gaining a year or two of experience. FYI I’m in marketing entry level.

Also, anyone lives in Dubai and drives to abudhabi daily for work? How is it? How long does it take during rush hours? I’m considering doing this since apartments in Abu Dhabi are significantly higher than Dubai.

Hello, I’m 29F. Is anyone playing padel here? I would like to join. I’m still a beginner. I attended a few training sessions but I want to experience playing for fun not for competitive one. Also, any other activities I can do or any groups I can join? I also want to try indoor climbing at train galleria mall. Is there a climbing community here or is it fine to go alone there and someone will assist me? since it will be my first time to try it.

Recently I’ve been having ongoing back issues and I’m currently doing weekly physiotherapy sessions, but I’m looking for a therapist who specializes in treating back problems.

For some context, it’s gotten to the point where I can’t even sit on the floor comfortably, and it’s affected my nerves enough that I even had to see a urologist because of the symptoms.

The problem is that it’s hard to find a place that focuses on actual therapeutic treatment without all the “extra services” that seem to be common. You know what I mean.

Can anyone recommend a genuine therapist or clinic that specializes in back rehabilitation?
