Abu Dhabi motorcycle parking fine

Hi y’all. I am in a very sad state. This year alone I’ve paid a lot in fines and yesterday night I got another one amounting to 500 aed.

I had paid for my motorcycle parking on mawaqif for Saturday which would go upto Monday early morning as I had to travel by car to Ajman. When I was back on Sunday that is yesterday I removed it from car parking and decided to park in a place delivery riders park on a curb.

There is this electric charging station that Abu Dhabi is tryna implement in residential areas and there isn’t enough space for people to walk too thanks to them. Even with a valid payment on my parking ticket I unfortunately decided to remove my motorcycle from car parking and put it on top k my in ٣٠ 30 mins to got a fine. The fine details were: “Drivers failure to abide by signals and instructions”. I put up a vid and there pedestrians can’t walk on the area where they put up electricity chargers unless someone wants to get possible electrocuted…

The motorcycle that is covered is mine however I have a transparent window for cops to check numberplate which I specifically imported from abroad just so the parking people can check my number plate without opening up the whole cover. And give me another fine for concealing plate info. Idk now what to do I honestly don’t wanna go to court to dispute this. Pleased help I have an active parking payment too incase that helps😭.
I can’t attach a vid and photo together but I do have an active parking ticket paid till Monday .

Also today morning I asked another motorcycle owner who parked there whether he received a fine and he too received a fine on his motorcycle he wasn’t a delivery rider😭. What’s happening in Abu Dhabi aren’t private vehicles allowed to park in motorcycles spaces??

Spawn Camp 💸💔

Bro is spawn camping vehicles that are entering parking or he’s waiting for someone’s time to end so he can scan their number plate and give out a parking ticket 😵‍💫💔.

A constructive discussion about cyclist enforcement in Abu Dhabi

TL;DR: I support the law requiring cyclists and e-scooter riders to dismount at pedestrian crossings, but I think impounding should be reserved for people who run away, not those who stop and cooperate. I also think the residential crossing rule could be reviewed.

I’ve been seeing this happen a lot in Abu Dhabi recently. Undercover officers are enforcing the rule not just at signal crossings but also at pedestrian crossings inside residential areas. I respect the law and understand why it exists.

That said, I do think the residential crossing requirement could be reconsidered. In many residential blocks, pedestrian crossings are located at almost every entrance and exit. For cyclists, constantly getting off, walking across, and getting back on every few hundred meters becomes frustrating and impractical. E-scooter riders can get moving again with a throttle, but cyclists have to stop pedaling, dismount, and build up speed repeatedly. I completely understand dismounting at busy signal crossings, but the residential crossings feel a bit excessive.

The other thing that bothers me is the enforcement. I’ve seen young riders spot undercover officers and speed off dangerously, often getting away. Meanwhile, people who stop and cooperate—especially delivery riders—are having their bikes impounded. I recently saw a delivery rider begging the officers not to take his bicycle while holding a food order. It was honestly difficult to watch, knowing he was probably losing the delivery, paying a fine, and potentially losing his means of earning a living.
I’m not saying people shouldn’t be penalized for breaking the rules. I just feel that if someone stops and cooperates, a fine should be enough. Impounding should be reserved for people who flee, repeatedly ignore the law, or create a danger to others.

P.S. This isn’t because I got fined—I haven’t. I’ve always stopped when officers signaled me. I just wanted to share something I’ve been seeing more and more often and hopefully start a respectful discussion.

Mt07 turn signals

Hey I own an mt07 and have the stock turn signals and tbh I don’t mind it. But recently some delivery driver hit my bike when it was parked in municipality legal parking that I paid for and he broke both my right side indicators.

I got the green report from the cops and I feel like these indicators will keep falling out cause of these delivery drivers.

I have seen these small tst turn signals however they are a little pricy. I just want the turn signals however and not the brake like in the back to get replaced. Also I want it legal.

I don’t want to spend too much on turn signals however I do have a green accident report. Can yall suggest what can I get in UAE which won’t take much time to arrive as the accident report along with insurance fixing shouldn’t be delayed etc….

Post accident need help testing

Hey y’all my first post here. I need a favor. I had gotten into an accident and I’m still healing my right wrist. I need someone in Abu Dhabi to try out my 690 cc Yamaha mt07 after it’s repaired from garage and see if it’s good that’s it.

I can arrange recovery later from insurance, etc.

I just need someone to check the bike. If someone can do that it would be great as my right hand is in recovery rn.

Hey y’all. I felt questions and discussion was the appropriate flair as I am asking guidance. I unfortunately got into an accident and chasis and engine hasn’t been damaged. I got a repair quote of approx USD 3,540. What do y’all think. Is it fair.

I am in UAE so the prices in the quotation are in aed however the sun of it all comes to USD 3540+. The amount in repair is more than half of what I purchased it for…

Please advise on how can I go about it…
