I am starting at BYU in 2 weeks and am taking the infamous Econ 110 with Professor Platt. I am a sophomore and just transferred into BYU from SLCC. I am a Marriott school hopeful and just want any advice or tips on how get a good grade in professor Platt’s class. I am very nervous but also excited for this new challenge and thought to ask any previous students for advice so I can set myself up for success!

Hello! I am a transfer student from SLCC and just got accepted into BYU for fall 2026. This will be my second year at college and first semester at BYU. My goal is to get into the Marriott School of Business for Finance, or Strategy Management and want to know if this schedule will be too much for my first semester at BYU.
I am really excited that I got accepted but also nervous to find out how different coursework is at BYU compared to SLCC. I just came on here to ask because I know Econ and information systems are commonly talked about as difficult classes.
