Obvious revelation: use the Pietro stand and hold on the edge of the worktop.

Was one of many bemoaning the Pietro ergonomics until recently.

The solution is simple, use the supplied stand, hold it down at the top with one hand at the edge of your worktop, the handle now has ample space and jams somehow aren’t so meddlesome.

Genuinely feeling a bit dumb for not getting to this point sooner.

I’m sure my burrs still aren’t 100% seasoned and perhaps I can just pick it up and use it as I’d like in the future but now, just happy to have something less adversarial.

How many of you are enjoying a simple 2-pour “recipe” and putting your fingers in your ears?

I love fruity washed light roasts with bright acidity, perhaps I’m missing out on something but I just try to not disturb the bed too much aside from after the bloom, pour slow, tweak grind size and enjoy the cups.

Should I really be investigating all these newfangled methods? Everything seems fine.

V4 Melodrip holder & filter press. Maximum guff, minimum effort.

Slightly embarrassed to report my affection for some overpriced tools, which have made it a breeze for brewing an excellent cup consistently.

The official Orea V4 melodrip holder negates dodgy pours and minimises agitation which allows a finer grind than I’d otherwise use. I’m making better coffee and doing so consistently.

The Coldale filter press is the most egregious coffee item I’ve purchased and willingly accept all the rotten vegetables thrown at me for having no shame in remaining happy with the purchase.
I‘ve always struggled to get the base of a wave filter evenly stuck to the bottom of the V4, this solves that issue...

Guys, I understand you’d want to spread word about your new product. However, instead of snidey inferences to your brand, why not just make an honest post? Be upfront who it’s from and write about what you think is good and unique about what you’ve made.

Hell, make a youtube video with demonstrations, link to it and invite feedback. You could reach out to people known for rigorously testing coffee products, send them one and the result would give consumers confidence in what you’ve made, if it’s not a scam… because right now it’s hard to tell if it is or not.
