My favourite MMCs in her MF book

  1. Kirill Morozov

  2. Knox van Doren

  3. Ronan Astor

  4. Landon King

  5. Jude Callahan

Other honorable mentions would be Aiden King, Kane Davenport , Adrian Volkov and Kayden Davenport..iykyk.. I don't hate them but some of their actions felt unnecessary and extremely stupid.

Who would you cast?

First of all, I am gonna say that I don't want any of RK books to get adapted because I know that any platform will ruin my imagination of the characters and they will most definitely change the storyline like they did it to other adaptations. But who is your fan cast of the characters. Starting from Cruel King to Tempting Venom.

Who's your favourite side character?

I know Damien is going to be having a new book but I really loved him as a side character in Throne Duet and The Monster Trilogy and until he gets a book he will remain a side character to me. Even though he is the star of every show to me besides Kirill and Brandon.

Other characters that are my favourite are :

Maksim

Ariella

Remington

And obviously Julian.

Man seems like a very “I hate everyone in this world except my wife. If you are not my wife you are free to die” man.

Which book did you like the most out of all the Rina Kent books?

My favourite is the Monster Trilogy, surely I have my own criticisms about both the main characters Kirill and Sasha. But I loved their story , the characters , the emotional aspect , the Bratva. Infact I don't think I any MMC will ever surpass Kirill Morozov and Aleksandra Ivanova.

Note : Vaughn's book felt underwhelming especially since I harboured exceedingly high expectations.

Daily dose of love

Can I just say how much I love Teal Van Doren? She is my favourite character in Royal Elite Series. Girl is just so... unique and perfect. It almost hurts to know that she doesn't exist.

I love her and her husband. Ronan is lucky to have Teal.

FMCs with little to no explanations.

My most hated FMCs

  1. Gwyneth Shaw

  2. Astrid Clifford

  3. Glyndon King

  4. Reina Ellis

  5. Naomi Chester

Their character simply felt either 2D or borderline stupid. Especially Gwyneth, girl literally had everything in her life and when her father was literally in coma she went "I can't believe you left me too" What was he supposed to do? I mean yes you are on the verge of losing your father but what is this?

Naomi forgave Sebastian easily and girl had so much potential. She could have kicked Sebastian in the dick and then yk make the man beg and earn. Girl seems so strong until Sebastian pops out of nowhere and girl forgets basic survival skills.

Glyndon is beyond repair. She was literally the only granddaughter of the Kings and she turned out this flat piece of paper.

Astrid had zero survival skills.

----------

My favourite FMCs Ranking :

  1. Aspen LeBlanc

  2. Aleksandra Ivanova

  3. Dahlia Thorne

  4. Rai Sokolov

5.Teal Van Doren

6.Mia Sokolov

  1. Kimberly Reed

  2. Cecily Knight

  3. Nicole Adler

  4. Ava Nash

Personally I hated the way Rai behaved around Kyle and her whole "submissive" wife was annoying. I love a slutty FMC and I really expected Rai to be that especially since Rai and Kyle had history.

YA books where you hated one of the Main Characters.

My list :

  1. Shatter Me Series : Juliette. She isn't a strong FMC. She is an proud FMC with no knowledge backing her up. Her powers, love life , mental health issues (until Ignite Me) and sad past makes her semi-3D character. Otherwise she is someone I would hate to meet in reality. Girl lacks logical reasoning which is bad since I found her interesting until Ignite Me.

  2. Caraval : Both Scarlett and Julian.

  3. Legendary and Finale : Both Legend and Tella.

  4. Cruel Prince : Cardan Greenbriar.

  5. Red Queen Series : Mare Barrow.

I read a book for the FMC, so my standards are high for them.

Is it just me?

Warning: It's just my opinion.

I read God Of Malice and I gave it a one star. Mainly because how weak the plot was. Like God of Pain had such a stronger plot in comparison.

As someone who has ASPD and had to take empathy classes for the longest time of my life I really felt like the character wasn't as complex as everyone says. Also, Glyndon was way too nonchalant after the cliff scene.

In my opinion after Rina's FMCs got better post Monster Trilogy. God of Ruin , God of War and Beautiful Venom had such better FMCs in my opinion.

Rude of Me

Disclaimer : It's my opinion and you all are free to disagree. Don't try to change my opinion ty very much. Fair warning, this post is going to be very negative and if you like Daniel Sterling this post isn't for you.

I am gonna get downvoted for saying this but Daniel Sterling is a terrible MMC.

I am not going to be doing a deep dive btw.

In Rinaverse it's an ongoing theme where most of the MMC gets forgiveness fairly easily the only time I saw anything else happen is in {Heart of my monster.}

There is something I hate when a MMC who is in his late twenties act like a teenager. I personally did not find him attractive at all. All he did was order her around, disrespect her, and being a total asshole for very minimal reason. The way he treated her nearly 90% of the book felt criminal. And then when he said in her perspective it might look sad but my eyes were on her the entire time. It felt like he only got attracted to her due to her looks while in other books like {Vicious Prince}, Monster Trilogy, Hell even in Deception Trilogy Adrian liked something other than Lia's looks. And his obvious victim mindset was truly infuriating to read. What do you mean that she treated you badly? The whole Cruel King or Empire of Hate showed that Nicole either said two-three words infront of Daniel or left. Nicole's writing can easily be summarised as a FMC with no spine.

Nicole deserved a better husband and I am sure Daniel will treat her horribly.

Jude and Jeremy

Is it only me or did y'all also find Jude and Jeremy similar?

My observations:

Both of them have similar anger issues and Mommy issues.

Both are bikers.

Both likes girls who are responsible and sweet.

Your Kings of Sin rank?

Mine :

  1. King of Wrath (The book didn't stick out to me. I am gonna do a re-read. But Dante is one of my least favorite Ana Huang MMC currently.)

  2. King of Greed. (It's pretty self explanatory.)

  3. King of Gluttony. (The book is good but we know Ana can do better. I needed more conflicts and maybe yearning.)

  4. King of Sloth.

  5. King of Envy.

  6. King of Pride. (I know that this book is considered to have the least chemistry and it's boring to a lot of people. But this book helped me restart writing. I am real life Isabella in a way without my Kai. Kai is the best MMC. He is gentle, good listener, understands her, respects women. He is a whole package. Plus I have a thing for nerds who wear glasses and is quiet.)

Popular books you hate and Why

For me it's Things I Wanted to Say by Monica Murphy. The book was in one word : Trash.

Disclaimer : This review will be full of negative facts about the book. If you liked this book, then this review isn't for you. I disliked this book and it's my personal opinion. You are free to disagree but don't try to change my mind about this book.

I know it won't very detailed but I simply can't push myself to give more details.

FMC : Summer Savage.

She is 17 turned 18 in this book.

She attends a school called Lancaster Prep and it's owned by Lancasters and every single member of the Lancaster family attends this school. She wanted to join this school since this school can open a door of new opportunities for her.

Average FMC who is not like other girls.

MMC : Whittaker Lancaster.

He is same age as her.

Father - Augustus Lancaster .

Mother - Sylvia Lancaster

Sisters - Sylvie and Carolina Lancaster.

So Summer's mother Janine was Whit's father August's AP. Janine was married to Summer's awesome step-father like Summer said in her POV. Our LOVELY couple first met when they were 14 at a party in Manhattan. Summer was sneaking sips of champagne and Whit saw her and approached her and asks if she wants her own glass. She says yes and he gets her one. She asks if he likes it. He says no "cheap stuff gives me headache." He takes her to an empty hallway and our FMC who is dumb as a rock follows him without any questions. He tells her that his father is fucking her mother. Summer is like no. And he is like well your mother is my father's slut. Etc etc. Then he offers her the generous offer of giving him oral. Our FMC imagines it for some reason as she has seen magazines in her creepy step brother Yates's room and gets turned on. She says no. Thank God. He pulls her closer and she gets the feel of his underdeveloped D and he kisses her. After all this our FMC runs off to find her mother who was like where were you and did you drink. Summer is like no. She sees her mother whose hair was ruffled. She realises Whit was right. On the other hand Whit was standing with his father and watching her.

So now you can get the idea of their first meeting which is very important.

Senior Year : Summer joins the school and her mother forces her principle to her added in AP English too. And the guy she sees there is her exact nightmare. And true bully fashion he starts tormenting her, telling his friends to torment her. He is like he will only stop it she lets him "cum on her tits." She obviously declines. None becomes Summer's friends until she becomes friends with Sylvie Lancaster, Whit's sister. She was atfirst my favourite character as she understood Summer and sympathised with her. Sylvie is like her brother is bad blah blah blah.

Summer and her grows close. Summer goes to a party where Whit's close friend party where some guys nearly assaults her and Whit saves her. He gets injured. She takes him to her dorm. The two of them for some reason get naked. She dresses his wounds. And the next day he takes off with her diary. And how will she get it back? By letting him fuck her that's right.

So they become fuck-buddies or whatever.

Then we find out that Whit and Summer have the same birthday what a coincidence. Summer wishes him and since he is an ungrateful brat he doesn't wish her back. They fuck and fuck throughout the book.

Also, Summer's step bro Yates always was creepy around her and he even did stuff to her. Summer's step-father Jonas and her creepy Step-brother Yates died in a house fire that was caused by Summer accidentally. This was written in her diary.

Back to the story : Whit's supposed to marry this girl Leticia who is virgin and will give the heirs of Lancasters. Like the girl's whole point in life was to be a virgin bride to Whit and give birth to his kids. Summer meets everyone in the family l and spends her vacation in Lancaster mansion. Again Whit and Summer fucked in the mansion too. Then Sylvia Lancaster calls Summer in her room. (The villain). She tells Summer to leave her son (typical) and threatens her about the diary and how Summer will end up in Prison etc. Summer leaves and Sylvie becomes awfully rude to Summer. Then Whit comes and asks everyone about Summer. Sylvia is like she is whore like her mother, I offered her some money and she left.

Summer on the other hand is heartbroken and she hates Whit for supposedly giving the diary to Sylvia. She comes back to her home and tells her mom that she won't go back to Lancaster Prep and will take a gap year to travel. Janine is okay. Janine reveals that the fire wasn't caused by Summer but by Janine. Janine found out about Yates and Summer. She got mad and caused the fire. And let Summer think she is murderer for this long (Mother of the Year guys.) Janine let's Summer go to Paris if she keeps quiet. Seventeen months later, Summer has made a friend named Monty who says there is party at a restaurant and he is like Summer has to attend and she also needs better dresses. He dressed her for the "party". He chose the most revealing dress possible. In the restaurant there is no party. And guess what who shows up in there yes Whit. He is like I am sorry for everything. Summer tells him how his mother treated her. The conversation is so cringe. They could not be serious for one moment. They would randomly talk about sex whole having a heart to heart. Then Summer obviously forgives him because her spine is made of paper straws. Whit tells his mother off and they get married.

One thing more : Sylvie is ill most of the time and knows her mother wants her that way. Whit is like no why would mom do that. Even though he knows that his mommy dearest blackmailed Summer.

This fucking book has 640 pages and still has zero character development. Zero chemistry unless you consider smut as chemistry. And the MMC has weird fixation on FMC for no reason. (The famous I hate her but want to fuck her for no reason.) I get the gate but I don't understand the fixation.

I hate everyone in this book. Especially Whit.

Recommendations

I am currently in my epic romance phase and wondering is there any book out there where the FMC's ex-friend (now enemy) has broken up with her boyfriend. The boyfriend is trying to make the enemy jealous by getting close to the FMC. The FMC hates the ex-boyfriend and downright ignores him until there is a situation which forces them to work in a project together.

Something like :

I need yearning, chemistry and tension. Spice isn't mandatory (but I won't mind if there is.)

University/High school setting.

God of Wrath takes :

This post may have a few spoilers.

I had such high hopes from this book especially because I loved baby Jeremy in The Deception Trilogy. But I didn't get that in God of Wrath and this is first book I have read in Legacy of Gods series after seeing so many edits on yt.

I wanted Jeremy to have uncontrollable anger issues he will be mad and like try to control himself. Eg : He will punch the wall behind Cecily because he is so mad and doesn't want to hurt HER.

We have the episodes but I needed more of it. I wanted him to actively trying to control himself.

I needed more of Jeremy & Ilya.

And I wanted more of the chapters where Jeremy and Cecily have broken up and he is trying to win her over. Ilya giving him advice on that. (Like 4-5 chapters.)

Hot Takes

Only the GEN 1.

What I am saying is very controversial but hear me out :

  1. Royal Elite Series : I loved Kimberly and understood her feelings for Xander. I pity the poor girl for having such a terrible mother and terrible friend Silver and childhood best friend turned bully. But I hate that she didn't have make Xander grovel I mean I know that Xander was going to a Rehabilitate Center but she should not have forgiven him so easily especially after he tormented her for seven years. I get why Xan did what he did, but it doesn't make it okay especially that Xander's words broke the camel's back and Kimberly attempted to off herself. She also should not have forgiven Silver just because Silver said one sorry after Kimberly....yk it.

  2. Thorns Duet : I hated that Sebastian didn't even apologize to Naomi properly. Yearning is off the table. I felt there was lack of respect for Naomi on Sebastian's end. Especially when he said to Reina : “Maybe, I wanted to ruin her life.” He literally felt no remorse after hurting a person he supposedly had a developed a deep connection with.

  3. Lies & Truth Duet : Reina and Naomi's friendship was sudden. Naomi should not have forgiven Reina this easily . Reina might have forgotten everything she has done before but it doesn't mean that Naomi isn't actively suffering the consequences. She very much did.

  4. Empire of Hate : Nicole should not have forgiven Daniel easily. In the whole book Daniel treated her so badly. I acknowledge that he was the one who mended Nicole's relationship with her father/step-father. But even after knowing all her struggles he simply treated her like she is the sole reason behind all his problems. It's enemies to lovers but it no way Daniel actually did something nice for her without insulting her or making her feel stupid. Nicole was so strong as a FMC until it came to Daniel then she suddenly has the spine of a rubber straw.

  5. Deception Trilogy : Adrian deserved more consequences for his actions. Party because of him she attempted to off herself and he still treated her badly because once she lied by saying she cheated on him. And our man believed it without giving it a second thought. I understood Adrian and found his character extremely complex but the way he treated Lia was not done.

  6. The Monster Trilogy : Kirill essentially ruined Kristina's image by saying she got pregnant out of a wedlock just so he could secure his position. I understand he can do anything for the position but what he did to Kristina wasn't done. Also, when he thought Sasha betrayed him he made her suffer so much (not letting her have food for like a month) but when vise versa happened he suddenly didn't try to prove himself Like that. He did redeem himself but his efforts for that was low too low.

  7. Throne Duet : Kyle playing the victim after switching up her pills “Is it so bad to have a child with me?” like man you knew she didn't want to have kids. Non-con and Dub-Con on one side but switching a woman's pulls and getting her pregnant just so she stay with you isn't okay. Especially Reina , “He just wanted to have a child with you.” Why are you taking his side over your own sister? Rai wasn't okay with it until both Reina and Kyle started their campaign.

Underrated gems where they are both in university, FMC has already been heartbroken twice. The MMC is rich and FMC is middle class and feminist. I NEED absolute yearning, character development, and anst. The book must have some spice.
