I lowk thought the same thing at first. But looking back at Chapter 25, it was pretty obvious that something was gonna happen, so I don’t think it came completely out of nowhere.
I also don’t think it’s a health issue, cuz she could get expelled if she keeps skipping classes. If it was actually an illness, she could probably just get a doctor’s note or an excuse for school.
I kinda think it might be something family-related, like abusive parents or something. That could also explain why she isn’t allowed to go to certain events. And in Chapter 25 they said she “carries a wound”, which could also mean some kind of trauma idk.
So yeah, I don’t think it’s an illness or anything like that.

Towards the end of the chapter, Puck said, "I see… Guts has been connected…!" Could this mean he knows more than we thought? The use of finally makes it seem as though he had been expecting Guts to connect with the interstice. Perhaps he is one of those characters who feigns ignorance despite possessing a great amount of knowledge, though I find that highly unlikely.
