More reactive to buildings when treating MARCoNs

Did anyone else become more reactive to buildings once starting to treat MARCoNs? I’ve been treating it for multiple months. I’ve made a ton of progress (reducing a ton of meds). Also, I can now tell when I’m in an exposure pretty immediately whereas before I couldn’t. I’m wondering if this is common.

For those in step 3 or higher of the Shoemaker protocol:

How often (and for how long) can you handle being in an exposure while still progressing in treatment?

I’m in a safe home (tested on each floor for all biotoxins), work from home, and have a very small social network right now. Summer makes things easier because I can socialize outside. I recently started reacting to our church building though (our church is located in a public school). Service is only 1 hour and 15 mins 1 time a week.

I don’t fail the VCS test after the service, but today I did a VCS test while in the building and I did fail. I’ve been sitting in the very back of the church building in the doorway so I’m breathing in a ton of fresh air and I still failed the VCS test standing there. It’s been hard to find a good church community so I want to keep going here. I plan on going somewhere else temporarily while but we try to fight the school board to remediate. I’ve still been able to progress with treatment (I’ve reduced over half of the stimulating meds I’ve been on for over a decade) while going to this Church (I didn’t realize I was reacting before because MARCoNs intensification symptoms have been so unpredictable). This has had me wondering how often you find yourself in exposure and if it’s delayed your treatment or if you’ve still been able to progress.

Reusable organic cotton pads

I’ve been using these reusable organic cotton pads from Illum for years. I really love them! They’re unfortunately going out of sale so their prices are significantly cheaper than usual. I thought I’d share so others could also take advantage of this deal. Make sure you read the listed materials for each item because not everything is made of organic cotton.

Need help with breakage and frizz

I've been experiencing a lot of frizz all over the top layer of my hair. I believe this is due to a combination of a complex chronic disease treatment (that will actually cure the infection, but it's made things worse before better) and previous use of heatless hair curlers every night.

I have increased vitamin D treatment in case that will help. I have also stopped using the heatless hair curlers daily (now 1-2x a week and I've changed how I wear them), added in bond treatment, and am on my journey to realizing I actually have naturally wavy hair (it's not styled like that right now).

Some things to know about my hair:

-It's not dyed
-I usually have a TON of hair (and hair dressers often call it "thick"), but it has thinned significantly during this treatment. The individual hairs themselves aren't thick though
-I use a silk pillow case and silk scrunchies
-The only heat I use is hair drying
-I don't put my hair in tight ponytails

My current routine (I wash 2-3x a week). I'll bold what is new:

-Light oil treatment on hair before shampooing (except when doing a bond treatment)
-Shampoo x2. Once with a clarifying pro-V pantene shampoo and once with avalon organics anti-dandruff shampoo
-"OGX® Repair & Protect Bond Protein Repair Pre-Shampoo" bond repair treatment (I know it says pre-shampoo but I've seen online that doing it after shampoo can be helpful) 1x a week
-Dove bond strength conditioner
-I comb my hair only when it has lots of slip in from the conditioner
-I use to add leave-in conditioner but I've been worried all the conditioning has been weighing down my waves, so I've skipped it recently
-I now scrunch in "SheaMoisture Frizz-Free Curl Mousse" and "Not Your Mothers Curl Talk Frizz Control Sculpting Gel" to try to promote my natural waves
-Diffuse dry

I'm wondering what's helped others tame the frizz in the meantime and what's helped strengthen your hair. I've used hair oil on top to tame the frizz a bit and that helps temporarily, but after a few hours it's back to being frizzy.

ETA: I plop it into a 100% cotton towel (not a t-shirt, this is something else I can try if people think that would be helpful) and let it dry like that for half-an-hour before diffusing.

For those who live near a body of water, what helped?

We live near a body of water and are obviously working against it. These are the measures we’ve already put in place:

Downstairs area (still having a big issue with mosquitoes):

  • A dynatrap with an attractant inside
  • 2 mosquito dunk buckets with “mosquito dunks” inside
  • Trimmed our more dense bushes. This helped
  • Plants that attract dragonflies (which eat mosquitoes)

On our patio area (we have no mosquitoes up here ever since implementing these things):

  • On our patio, we have a big box fan pointing at us which helps a lot
  • On our patio we also have a battery-operated essential oil diffuser where we diffuse mosquito repelling essential oils
  • A hummingbird feeder which attracts a lot of hummingbirds
  • Plants that attract dragonflies (which eat mosquitoes)

What else would you add? We’re considering getting a CO2 mosquito trap and also installing a bat box
