They Asked Me To Organize the Trailer

This is standard double axel semi trailer that was an absolute disaster of an electrical trailer. This took me about 2 weeks from start to finish to remove everything, sort, clean, organize and built some racks to help. Everything is labeled, organized and cleaned. This doesn’t seem like a massive project but anyone that has worked in the trades understands this.

My dad found this truck. Now I drive it. Back in 2015, my dad spent months hunting for a low-mileage Long Bed Double Cab. One day he called me and said, “I think I found it,” and drove out to the Bay Area to check it out. The guy who owned it kept it under a covered carport and barely drove it. When my dad saw it in person, he said it looked like it had just rolled off the showroom floor—no scratches, flawless interior, even the driver’s seat felt brand new. It only had 22k miles on it. The owner mostly used a work truck and just drove this on weekends. My dad bought it on the spot. Fast forward to 2020—he was diagnosed with early onset dementia, and later Alzheimer’s. About five years ago, he gifted me the truck. Even now, it still feels like it’s his. I’ve done a few things to it since—Fox 2.5 suspension, Diode Dynamics SS3 Pro lights, fresh dual-layer ceramic tint. It just rolled over 126k miles, and it’s had nothing but AMSOIL fluids. I take care of it the same way he did. It’s more than just a truck to me.

Building my first workbench.

I’ve been wanting to build a bench for some time to replace the small metal one I have that is super unstable and just too small. I’ve been holding off because of just lumber cost, time etc. My neighbor was moving out and he was just renting so he gave me his old workbench with a cabinet he made. It was pretty stout was but was sitting level and needed more rehab than it was worth. So I took it apart and figured I could use it for something else like some planters. Went down to my brand new Home Depot and picked up some lumber along with a new chop saw. It would be much faster than doing it all with a circular saw. Grabbed a Rigid 10” Chop Saw for $229 along with a Diablo 60th blade for 54$
