Feeling Lost With the SAT

I know this is a feeling probably a lot of us are feeling but I just truly feel lost. Every time I study for the SAT I feel like my score will never change. I’m taking September and I already feel like i’m going to be in the same 1250-1290 range I was before. I’m over my school’s average but it’s only by like 110 points so I feel as if it’s not that big. I just don’t get why I’m not improving, I have a 4.1 W and 3.9 UW and I do perfectly fine for AP Exams.

The crazy part is i’m doing all this work when only two schools i’d like to rank are test required. I even used all my fee waivers and used the money I get from work just to pay for the SAT. I just feel as if i’m capable of more and it’s just not reflecting through my SAT scores. I know it’s only one part of my application but if anyone has advice i’ll take it🥲

Honors Section

I’ve been on the fence on what to put for my fourth honor. I’m stuck between my WashU Fli-In acceptance and PEEP acceptance. Both of these schools I plan on ranking if I get that far which is what makes this decision harder. I am leaning more towards the WashU Fli-in since I believe it was more competitive than PEEP, however I want to rank UPenn first so i’m conflicted. I also have AP Scholar with Distinction and AP Capstone but I think both are obvious with my test scores. The rest of my honors consist of photography awards and I am wondering if I need more variety as well.

Questbridge or ED/EA

Hi guys i’m starting to get a bit conflicted. I am debating if I want to go through the questbridge process or just apply early decision and action to the schools I really care about. Questbridge has about 3 partner schools I actually see myself going too and I am also worried I won’t qualify financially since I most likely won’t get a non custodial parent waiver. I know I am low income considering I get reduced lunch and SAT waiver but I may be over the average for a 4 person household. I was thinking instead of questbridge possibly EDing at UPenn (even tho my test scores are 😬) and doing Early action at WashU. Overall, just wondering where I should really place my energy for the best outcomes. For context, I have a 3.9 UW and 4.1 W, I would consider my ECs strong (Co-founded a women’s volunteerism club, Paid Intership at a PR Firm, Social Media Manager for a local nonprofit, etc) and I want to major in Marketing. I also recently did WashUs Fli-in program. My household income without my biological mom for a family of 4 may be around 60k but with her it may be like 75k i’m not
completely sure. All advice is welcomed!

Test Scores Advice

Hello! I am a rising a senior who plans to try for the NCM and right now my biggest concerns are my test scores. I feel like my extracurriculars, gpa, and essays will be okay but I am just not the best test taker. I used all my fee waivers, I haven’t gotten my SAT score back for June but I honestly think I got past like a 1350. I can’t even take the August SAT since it’s full in my area so the only option is September and that’s cutting it close right? My dream match would be UPenn and I even recently got into PEEP, it’s really just my test score holding me back🫩. All the other schools I want to rank and apply I believe are test optional, it’s just UPenn 💔. If anyone has any advice please let me know and don’t be too mean!
