Considering applying to Villanova and wanted brutally honest opinions on the culture/student vibe. I’m looking for a school with ambitious people, collaborative culture, decent social life, and ideally some startup/entrepreneurial energy.
One thing I’m worried about is whether the environment feels too quiet/socially dead outside academics. Would love honest thoughts from current students.
I just got into Villanova as a transfer international student. I requested no financial aid, simply because I did not need it.
My family was doing pretty well and had a plan to fund my education. Though, a recent war broke out in the Middle East and my family got heavily impacted by it. They can no longer afford the full tuition and have 25-30K saved up to fund my education this year.
I contacted the undergrad admissions office and they sent me to the fin aid office. I put in a request form and am awaiting their response.
Why didn’t I reach out to the AO right when the war happened, I honestly did not think to get in so I applied to my state school I got a scholarship that made my total COA 35k my parents my 30K and I work to fund the rest and planned to go there until today.
How was I impacted? My family’s graveyard quite literally got bombed, our businesses got heavily devalued and we no longer have the cash flow we had.
How cooked am I?
Hello! I had a few questions about the Honors Program! How many people are usually accepted, and is it consider better than each school’s within Villanova honors program, or?
For those who were in the Honors Program or are currently in, what would you recommend that is the most useful for a business major is:
The Examined Life | The Good, The True
The Beautiful, Business, Society & Technology
Medical Humanities
Philosophy, Politics, and Economics
And how rigorous is it and what is the coursework/workload like? Thank you so so much!
can anyone share their experience in different themes of communitas? i was thinking about caritas but haven’t heard much about it or art and culture (not sure if it would be worth it as a stem student). please share experience from all themes, thanks!
Hi! I'm currently a junior in high school and thinking about where I want to go for college. I'm somebody that doesn't make friends that easily and I feel like I need to be in prolonged contact (classes, sports) with somebody to make any sort of connection. It sounds stupid but social life at the colleges I'm applying to has become a huge aspect for me. Can anybody let me know what they think about Villanova and how easy it is to make friends? I know that there is greek life, but is it cliquey? Can people tend to be spoiled or entitled here?
What did I just watch? These kids paid over 1 grand for this course and apparently this was their final project.
