Hopeful memoirs for incarcerated kid?

I work for a nonprofit serving gang-involved youth. We have a young man in our program right now who is looking at multiple decades of incarceration. He is, understandably, feeling extremely hopeless while he waits for sentencing.

We're looking for some books, particularly memoirs/nonfiction (but I would appreciate some fiction recs as well) to show him that he still has an opportunity to change his life. Perhaps memoirs from individuals who successfully left gang life or found hope and healing in spite of long prison sentences. Or maybe stories of people overcoming other extreme odds.

We just want something to lift him up. No judgement please, he is incredibly remorseful for what he did and is searching for a path forward.

Good spots for photos?

I'm building a website and want some photos showcasing both the good and bad sides of Yakima. Maybe some recognizable local features, and definitely want at least one of the whole valley. Any recommendations on where to go to take some good pics?

Don't have the budget to pay for licensed photos so I need to take my own.

Creative ideas for preserving cast?

I broke my ankle skydiving and rocked this pink cast for a few weeks. My family and friends turned it into a beautiful work of art, so I want to preserve it somehow. So far I thought of casting it in resin and making a planter or lamp, but I want some other inspiration. Hit me with your best unhinged ideas, the wackier and more bizarre the better!
