I don’t remember much from it, but I remember that hermione is in Ravenclaw instead of Gryffindor. she isn’t well liked, and because of this she ends up crying in her room- a first year girl in the same house comforts her and says Hermione felt like a little sister to her. while this isn’t a main plot, it’s the only thing I can remember. only thing besides it being more than 40k words

Bet you’re wondering what I mean by this. Here is a prompt…

So, a year or two went by that night when Peeta became her Boy with the Bread, and she wanted to thank him. Everyday that passed, Katniss felt a growing feeling of guilt for not thanking him for what he did. One summer day, where Peace Keepers are more lax on their shift because of a Capital holiday, Katniss asks Peeta to meet her in the meadow by the fence. He comes and is very concerned about being caught, but he follows her when she gestures him to follow her. They hiked to an open area with a grand view of the impending sunset.

She had heard from Madge that Delly Cartwright, Peeta’s best friend, that he had always wanted to see the sunset without all the trees in the way. This, Katniss knew, she could grant him.

As they reached the meadow, the sky was turning a golden sea of orange and the clouds practically glowed against the darkening sky. Before them a bunch of fireflies began to flicker in and out of their view.

This could be the start of a friendship that very quickly turns into something more.

look, I love the OG but I wanna read fics where Katniss is oblivious to Peeta’s feelings but she also knows that she has feelings for him. i just read a time travel fic where Peeta and Katniss are star crossed lovers from the start.
