I am new to square. Just created an account this weekend.

For context:
I sell bracelets. I have 3 types:

ready made (ones I’ve already created, say a specific thing, and are ready to ship.

Custom made (they tell me their words and colors, and I make it then and ship)

Chaos mode (they tell me a little about themselves and I take full creative control and make them based on their vibes.

So I know I need at least 3 listings. But I’m unsure how to do them. Especially because I have them bundled. So for example, it might be $10 for a single bracelet, but if they buy two, then it’s $19, since the more you buy, the lower the average cost. After three bracelets, additional ones are a flat fee.

Then I also have free shipping if your order is over a certain price.

My questions:

1. Is there a way to set up dynamic pricing like that, or do I have to do individual listings for the type of bracelet and the amounts? (I’m afraid too many listings will get confusing).

2. Is there a way to set up shipping being free if the threshold amount is met?

3. I saw that there’s a place where I can set up a sales tax. Am I supposed to do that? And if so, how? Because I live in Florida and idk if it’s supposed to go by our sales tax in my county or not?

4. Is there anything else I should know that will help me as a new square user that you’ve learned?

I’m absolutely fine if you guys have resources or videos you can point me to, rather than you spending your time responding! I just started looking this weekend and got overwhelmed at the amount of information out there, especially that wasn’t necessarily relevant to me in this moment.

So my ADHD hyperfixation hobby of making friendship bracelets turned into a real life business randomly.

Now here I am… 1 month, 17 orders, and a total of 47 bracelets in. I don’t know how I got here. I am basically running everything off of a Threads account. I have an Instagram, but it’s not really my main focus. I wanted to do an Etsy page to make it more legit, but most of what I do is custom, and a lot of people ask me to make them random surprise bracelets based off their vibes. So idk how that translates into a listing?

I only just recently made a spreadsheet to track my expenses and orders. Does anyone have any advice on things like determining a good price point, websites to best advertise on, setting up a bank account or registering your business so you’re actually running a legal operation, taxes, etc.

I’m sure this is possible, I just don’t have the technical know-how to do it.

Is there a way (other than meta tagging and putting certain words in the title of a knowledge article) to get certain articles to surface higher in the search results?

I am the most low code/no code person ever. Does anyone know what the HTML or CSS would look like if I wanted to take the OOB video widget on SN and have it display the “short description” for the video widget underneath the title of it?

Use case:
Right now, I have a video widget on my “video library” page. I named that widget “Online and Mobile Banking” and it’s filled with videos that help employees learn how to use our OLB. But I want it to have Online and Mobile Banking as the title and then underneath, whatever I put as the short description from the instance options (like… learn all their is to know about our OLB platform, etc).

I know I need to clone the widget and update the coding, I just don’t know how I would make it work.

I’m going to opening night of the tour and I just found out the Kia Center doesn’t allow anything metal. They confirmed that my waist chain belt and my cute metal cuff bracelet would be confiscated and are prohibited.

I didn’t even think about anything like that until I got the email, so if there are any of you, who like me, are oblivious because you haven’t been to a concert in a million years, just wanted to share.

I also made a few bracelets that have tiny little bug charms on them and now I’m scared for those 😮‍💨

I am currently in the learning and development space for my role at a small organization. After Knowledge, I’m really interested in looking for careers at SN but I’m not sure, based on my skillset, anything that would be a good fit.

Currently I do facilitation of classes, employee development during onboarding of new employees, content creation, project management, UAT for new software/process updates, etc.

SN started as my “10% other duties as assigned” and now is a much larger role at my job. I do most of the content publishing on our service portal, have worked to update the taxonomy to make more sense, and am heavily involved in the knowledge management process, creating new KBs, new KAs, updating knowledge, identifying knowledge gaps, etc.

I’m a low code/no code person if I don’t have to be, so some of the job descriptions sound intimidating. I used to work in customer service and I’m great at hitting sales goals/numbers, but I feel like that part of my career is over and I don’t want to go into that.

If you stuck around for this, and you’re familiar with the SN roles, which ones should I keep an eye out for that will align with what I’m already doing, or wouldn’t be too far of a jump?

What are your favorite FREE (or very low cost) authoring/designing tools?

We currently already have subscriptions to Canva Pro, Final Cut Pro, Articulate, OpenAI, and have recently started using ClipChamp.

There’s a ton of fancy tools I want to use, but it’s hard to convince my boss of a need for another one that’s going to cost. Are there any free/low cost tools you guys love that I should look into?

My ADHD decision paralysis is literally killing me. And I’m about to be at the point where it’s too late to get anything, since I have tickets to opening night. Anything you guys found that you’re in love with?

I learned about moveworks at knowledge. We have EC Pro and it looks like maybe it comes with the SKUs we already have, because it shows me free in the store?

I’m definitely considering adding it if so. I’m still sort of unsure about how MoveWorks is different from NowAssist though 🤣. I’m just looking for ways to improve employee end user experience for the lowest cost 😅😅

What programs/software are you guys using to make your most engaging micro learning?

Context:

Learners in our management program get a 17 minute long video, with an average watch time of two minutes total. My boss tasked me with trying to make it more engaging, even if it meant changing formats.

I turned it into an eLearning in Rise, and took new 30-second clips of our senior management team introducing each of the sections. My boss said the background (their offices) were too distracting and I held my scripts so high they aren’t even looking into the camera.

She thought the eLearning was boring and wants me to try again. I won’t be able to record the senior managers again, so I’ll need to try and salvage the videos in some way.

I’d love any ideas you guys have for this. I’m only used to using Final Cut Pro for videos and Rise for eLearning courses, so I just went with what I know. Would love any ideas to make my content more engaging or what to do with the videos, especially if any of the solutions utilize tools that can cut my time to design significantly.

My boss wants me to make some engaging content for a campaign we are doing to teach employees about some of our products and services. She asked if there was a way to embed like a poll that people can take and it update in real time with results. I’ve been looking, but I don’t see anything out of the box. Anyone done this on their SP before and have any advice?

Okay first off, I’m tired of that weird error 153 when I put YouTube videos anywhere in our instance. But also…

Does anyone know if there’s a way to place a video widget on knowledge articles to the right side (similar to how the related articles widget can be placed to the side) and have it populate a video based on which article a user has clicked on?

I seem to remember before with topic pages or something that because the link is the same and just carrying through the URL for the specific articles that this might not work? I tried something with organizing the news page like this but it stayed on it no matter which article I was on.

I have some other ideas, but I wanted to see if anyone had done it yet, or knew how to before I gave up on it.

My organization is considering Now Assist, but the price point has them skeptical. Does anyone use the Now Virtual Agent without Now Assist powering it that could give me an idea of how it works for your organization? Any pain points or things to consider? Trying to figure out if it’s a viable option to use for the interim while senior leaders make room in the budget for it.
