Getting legally married and then ceremony a year later??

Sorry this is going to be the longest story of your life and hopefully it’s not super all over the place.

Okay me and fiancé got engaged a couple weeks ago and I’m a planner so I’ve been planning the last week, however we got to the date and that’s where we are stuck on, I want 4.10 but the issue is that 4.10.28 lands on a Monday and 4.10.27 is on a Saturday but it’s just too soon and we don’t think a few of our friends from out of the state would be able to join us and we really want these people there, so we did agree on 4.8.28 but I’m still bummed about the date so apart of me wanting to do a legal ceremony on 4.10.27 and then on 4.8.28 we do an actual ceremony with all of our friends and family and then do the reception at my in laws house. Apart of me feels guilty for wanting to do 4.10.27 because I know I would never hear the end of it from my family (which I understand but I don’t because the legal ceremony is mostly to keep my date that I want and then do a legit wedding with all of them) but it’s just so significant to the both of us but I think I just care about it more, idk what would you do? Am I just being stupid about this and I should Just let it go? Please tell me if you’ve done anything like this, thanks!!

ISO of a place where there are willow trees

Hi I’m looking to find a place whether it’s a park, vrbo, airbnb, a venue, your grandmas backyard and I want to just do my ceremony. The two venues I looked at, one is an all day (which we were just planning to do at an Airbnb but if you know of an Airbnb/Vrbo with one that’s even better) and the other one I’ve just heard negative things about it. I’m just wanting to do a ceremony there that would be about 1 1/2 - 2 hours max. Thank you!!

Edit: I’d prefer if you know a place to be no further than Ogden and no further and Spanish fork (unless they are worth the travel!!)

Wedding/reception airbnbs

Hi all I wanted to reach out and ask if you or someone that knows of someone that could do a wedding or even just a reception at an Airbnb/VRBO that we can have for a couple days? It’s cheaper for the guest since most are having to travel to us and we want to provide a space for them but we don’t have the biggest budget, all the places I look at they won’t do events but have a lot of people spend the night. Idk if you guys have any suggestions let me
Know!! Thank you :)

The ring is coming!!!

WAHHH GUYS MY TIME HAS FINALLY COME!!! I have been with my guy for the last 3 years and he bought the ring (I found out because he was being weird about the mail box AND he LEFT the ring out on his gaming desk 🤣) but because I’m antsy and wanted to know WHEN he was doing it he said he’s going to do it before his trip in august AND I AM SOOOO EXCITED!! It’s such a bittersweet moment knowing we are going to hit the next chapter of life here in the next couple months but I am so excited!!

I’m trying to figure out if we want to get a photographer for our elopement ORR getting a photographer for our after party would be better! I still want to wear my wedding dress at our after party I Just don’t know if I’ll regret it because my budget isn’t the biggest tbh
