Gen Crystal install (DD40) before or after plating

Planning on sending my DD40 for plating once it arrives from the TD however I also want to have a gen crystal installed. Wondering if the install should be done before the plating or after? Does the order even matter?

Thanks!

Best way to remove Clean v3 Pepsi ceramic insert from bezel

Hoping for some help:

As the title says i need guidance on how to remove the insert from the bezel due to alignment issues.

I know the Pepsi insert is very very fragile and there is a good chance of cracking but if I was so inclined to try doing this myself what are some tips/ techniques and tools that are needed that would give me the best chance of doing it successfully? (I have already removed the bezel from the watch)

I already have the 3d printed dies set that I purchased via eBay that is made for the gmt but I know rep insert is glued or tapped in so not sure if that will really help correct?

Thanks for the help guys!

3. Model name (& version number): Rolex GMT II 126710 (Pepsi)
4. Price Paid: $656
5. Album Links: pics posted
6. Index alignment: Seem okay via index tool but pic is 100% straight
7. Dial Printing: looks fine
8. Date Wheel looks to high but is it acceptable?
9. Hand Alignment: seem fine
10. Bezel: is that a gash or crack near the 14 (blue circle in 2nd pic)
11. Solid End Links (SELs): Look good to me
12. Timegrapher numbers: +2s/d, AMP 272, 0.1ms beat error, 52 degrees
13. Anything else you notice: main concern to my eyes rn date wheel alignment. This is my 2nd qc ed watch. First one also had a DW issue (video was sent jumping the date and the DW got stuck. This one didn’t have that issue but DW is high. Also potential crack at 14 on bezel (2nd pic)

Thanks for the help!

Question about misaligned DW on a VRF Pepsi

Just wondering if I have a VRF Pepsi with a date wheel that is sitting too high in the window, is this something that can be realigned by a watchmaker or is the only fix for this a completely new date wheel?

Thanks

Installing clean/vsf Pepsi insert on Gen 116710 bezel

Hi guys as title states I purchased a gen 116710 bezel with the intention of installing a vsf Pepsi insert on it after having the lip mod done however I was a bit disappointed to realize the insert doesn’t 100% fit the bezel completely. It is very slightly too long at the edge. Another words the majority of the insert fits inside the bezel but the last remaining mm or so protrudes out.

I thought I remember this being done a year or two ago by a modder on RWI.
I even recall seeing one or two Frankens come up for sale with gen 116710 bezels and clean/vrf inserts installed.

Has anyone successfully done this install?

I would greatly appreciate anyone’s help on this thanks!

Current/Average wait times for QC on VSF Pepsi (jubilee)

Hi guys as tittle states I’m looking to purchase a VSF Pepsi on jubilee. I know it’s one of the most sought after models so just wondering if any one has purchased recently and what the current/average wait time was for QC?

Also, is there a TD that tends to get them quicker than others and also accepts PayPal?

It’s been awhile since I purchased a rep and I know there used to be certain dealers that were quicker than others for certain models.

Thanks for the help!
