I can’t tell if this is a lack of water sit or something else I need to treat. What do you think?

Grass started deep green this spring following a fall over-seeding. But these brown spots have shown up and I’m not sure why. I was watering twice a week and increased it to 3 times this month. Grass is greener, but spots remain.
