Never make AdSense your main source of income. If there’s one piece of advice I can give anyone running a site or building an online business, it’s that.

Building an entire business model on programmatic ads is just asking for trouble. You can do everything right, and one random morning you’ll wake up to an account ban or ad limits for "invalid traffic"—usually with zero human support and no real explanation.

Ad money should only ever be a nice bonus on the side, not how you pay your bills.

If you want a business that actually lasts, build direct monetization from day one:

  • Paid subscriptions / memberships
  • Digital products (ebooks, templates, tools)
  • Direct affiliate links or sponsorships with actual brands
  • Your own services/consulting

Don't build your house on rented land. If all your income disappears with one automated email from Google, you don't really have a business.

Have a backup plan before it happens, not after.
