Played as Mughal Empire

Played as the Mughal Empire by changing the setting.

The Mughal Empire is crumbling it is quite true. There are only a few provinces that have roads and many buildings are undeveloped. Moreover the Mughal Empire has no six building slot cities, so no naval research can be done. And the Maratha confederacy is already at war. However the Mughals have the largest treasury and trade partners number is the highest jointly (with the Ottoman Empire). The army is weak and scattered. No starting technology.

Above all the most of the ministers are worthless and producing negative buffs for the Empire. People are very restless all over the Empire.

So as the first step the emperor Aurangzeb reshuffled his cabinet. Fortunately there were able candidates for each minister he removed and after the reshuffling, the unrest was settled immediately.

The next step is diplomacy. The Maratha confederacy is offered money for the peace, trade agreement and alliance. They counter demanded the whole money of the entire Mughal treasury. It was agreed, and then the whole money of the Maratha treasury was squeezed back by selling the military access. The same was done to Mysore and Persia, and their treasury was also squeezed. However the Portuguese and the Dutch were smart enough to refuse the offer. After completing the diplomatic actions, Mysore and Persia are the allies of the Mughal Empire and the Marathas are the new trade partners. The huge money (35000-36000 gold) was utilised for purchasing the starting technologies from the Prussians and the Ottoman Empire. The new trade relations were established with the 13 colonies, new Spain and Louisiana.

After that the Mughals concentrated on developing the economy, military and infrastructure, until they started expeditions.

Why laissez faire is creating unemployment?

Played as released India and quickly civilized by taking the Himalayas, Sindh, Kalat, makran, Punjab and Oman, and getting railways, a cement factory and a fabric factory in the capital. After that went to the liberal government for the laissez faire and free trade. But this doesn't do any good for the country as factories and railways were not built by the capitalists and unemployment is very high. Only they're opening factories and shutting them down now and again. This also increased the militancy of the people. Where did I go wrong?

Experience as early India with all accepted cultures

Started as UK. Released Mughalistan and switched to it. Then transferred all of the provinces which had the Indian core via console command. Then after gaining 45 prestige, formed India with primary culture Punjabi and all other 18 accepted cultures and with the capital Delhi.

It has the advantage that in every region to reach at 100% bureaucracy is really quick. And also promoting 2% of the population to clergy, and later 4% to get the highest literacy and research point is also fast. Keeping all expenditure to 100% and also taxes to provide money, this is ok, though the starting literacy is only 2% and the country is uncivilized at the primitive stage.

The problem is that there is almost no military power. Only 15 battalions are stationed in Delhi, though 4 forts in Calcutta, Bombay, Madras and Agra were there and 3 naval bases at Calcutta, Bombay and Madras as well. But no fort to protect Delhi. So quick training of the army and navy was an emergency need and it was proven when attacked consecutively by Afghanistan, Burma, Portugal and finally France.

Fortunately the available soldier population to form 162 battalions immediately and 247 battalions a little later, as which was able to successfully repel the foreign invasion waves. The punitive conquest of Afghanistan and Burma given me enough rps to take the military reforms of 2 and 3, that given me the line infantry and ability to building forts, helping to prevent the European powers to occupy the land too quickly and overwhelmed them with the numbers in the different battles. But I didn't expect to be attacked on multiple fronts so quickly. Keeping a good relationship was proven fruitless.

Shifted to an unexpected law to win the opium war as the great Qing

Used the time buff of 10 years to be prepared. Beelined the line infantry rush from day 1. After completing the research of mandatory service, shifted from peasant levies - no, not to the professional army, but to the national militia.

With this law the number of regular battalions is reduced drastically (from 485 to 215) but there is a monumental raise in the number of conscripts (from 766 to 4300).

After researching line infantry, upgraded the total army of 4515 battalions to line infantry and positioned in the coastal states under defensive generals.

Then banned opium.

GB naval invaded, landed, and slaughtered.
