Recurrent impetigo and peeling lip skin barrier since March

This has been the progression of my impetigo and cheilitis. It started with blisters on my lips, but these subsided and months afterwards I’ve been stuck with recurrent impetigo. These blisters on the first pic haven’t come back. I don’t know why the staphylococcus aureus with colden crusts keeps coming back though. We confirmed it is this exact bacteria that keeps returning by multiple swab tests. I think it has to do with my broken lip skin barrier that doesn’t seem to heal on its own anymore (see last picture: even though my lips don’t necessarily look bad, i am missing half the skin on the inside and outside of my bottom lip and if new skin grows it either keeps peeling off or for periods of time no skin grows back) What I’ve used or done over the months: 4 rounds of oral antibiotics, 4/5 rounds of fucidin, two weeks of nasal mupirocin, removed my piercings. They all work for like a week or two and then the yellow-red lesions return again. For maintenance I just use cicaplast b5 lip balm. Any tips? Anyone who can relate to this? I go to the dermatologist but even they don’t know what’s going on.

Peeling

Hey hey, just wanted to show all of you what peeling looks like on me. Cheilitis looks so different on everyone, so just trying to contribute to some representation. Mine is definitely linked to staph and irritation. The white is just toothpaste, not fungus lol. Some days are better than others. Keep going guys ❤️❤️ Maybe to end this with a question: is it also a cyclical pattern for you guys, the peeling I mean and how long does a cycle take for you?

Progress

I’ve put the newest pics first, followed by older ones. I suffered deep staph cellulitis and multiple rounds of impetigo. I got prescribed antibiotics for them. However, I do feel like irritating stuff like food can cause a minor flare up (see slide 3). What I have noticed is if I keep it moisturized like in the last 3 pics (where I had an active infection, but it is also the case for when I don’t) my lip skin gets macerated and the flesh pieces rip off by themselves from the moisture. If I moisturize way less, my lips look better (like in the first 2 slides). Not sure if I do have ec though or my skin repair from multiple staph infections and antibiotics that dry out skin is already taking 6 months to heal. Talking hurts, I eat limited things… but stay positive! I hope I heal soon. Excuse my teeth, I just wanna show off my lip skin a bit better🤞 Also: anyone else of yall’s ec started with an infection?
