I've heard things like efficiency goes down over time on just that experiment that's already maxed out, but is there any ACTUAL reason not to squeeze a couple dozen science out of flight?

I'm playing on normal difficulty and also for the first time. I am really only doing this good because I'm looking up 5 billion guides and rigorously preplanning everything. Thank you guys for the guides by the way they are really handy.
I have a RTX 5060. This GPU is nearly MAXED OUT when zoomed in on terrain level, I'm getting under 10 fps. This was not even a problem before the update.
