When is the best way and time to secure good seats on my flights?

I'm flying in a couple of days, and it's my first time flying alone and I don't want to sit beside people if possible. I might pay out of pocket to choose a seat, but I don't know when to do that (so I can be sure no one is going to take the seats beside me). I also wanted to see if there's a better, cheaper way to get an aisle to myself too. What would be the best way and/or time to secure some seats? Should I wait till I get to the airport and tell the people checking me in for a change in seats, or should I do it a day before the flights? Any advice appreciated!

How to format and resetup JTAG Xbox?

I'm going back home for the summer, and I had an Xbox 360 with JTAG sitting around. It's already setup with Aurora and other stuff, but I don't know if I still have the original HDD that I used, or if I need to change something else so I'm thinking of formatting the whole console and setting it up again. How do I go about doing that? Do I format the console normally, then set-up everything again or is there a special way of doing it?

Note that I had the modding done by a pro back in the day, so I don't know if he set it up in a special way or if that matters at all.

Edit: Also, I don't remember if it's a JTAG or RGH, but I doubt it makes a difference

My hours rn are shit (venting)

I work in Geek Squad as a CA. Starting last week, my store's managers decided to cut a lot of people's hours because they gave out more than what the store can handle (which is their mistake, mind you). I literally work 2 days of 4-hour shifts over the next couple of weeks, which probably comes out to $200 (maybe even less after taxes) in my next paychecks. With this job, I take a lot of shit from clients, and managers are on my ass because of Total/ISP (Although I do alright every week). Plus, some of my lazy co-workers who don't do shit are getting away with it. I'm thinking of quitting if I get a better job opportunity that pays more than my current rate. This used to be an alright job, when managers used to be great, and I had pretty awesome co-workers (that I'm still friends with to this day), but now that all the cool coworkers left for many reasons (better jobs, life, etc.), and managers are getting on me because of my numbers, I just don't feel like it's worth it anymore. I was also in it for the experience, but with time, I realized that the job is just like any other retail job, and you're handling customers/clients that act like literal children sometimes, or just straight up disrespect you. Unless all of this improves in the next couple of weeks, I'm probably quitting as soon as I get a good job that lets me deal with actual adults and pays me for what I'm worth.

For anyone who's thinking of applying to GS or Best Buy in general, please do yourself a favor and turn around. Unless the store you're applying to has great managers, and employees are enjoying their shifts, do not join because it is NOT worth the trouble.
