I thought I was going mad.

Ok, please don't rush to tell me that I already have done 🤣

But my TM is buzzing a bit, not sure if that is normal, but I could imagine it is trying to send Morse code to me 🤣

I can only record it if the TM2 is touching my phone directly, it is very quiet. Once upon a time, I didn't need to write it down like a first year student, so either my skills are not up to scratch or I cannot decide it in my head because it is just random noises 😁

I have stopped knocking everything to the floor

I now have a nice little desk caddy.

I do need to give it a polish and get rid of the support marks, but it keeps everything together 👍😁

Always check here before panicking 😁

It has been a while since I have been here for a few reasons.

One was a 'dead' TM2, the other reasons are all tied in to house hunting, retiring and life getting in the way of everything....

Oh, and due to my tendancy to keep knocking my TM2 onto the floor and breaking stems, it got put on one side.....

The reason for the 'death' of my TM2 was obviously my clumsiness and I was sad, but I was little tied up. I have spent the last couple of months trying to find my dream home, and that has been proving to be a bit of a pain. I have been looking for a property that needs some work, has a garage where I can look after my car, and space for my dog, and a small workshop.

Auctions seemed to be a good place to start. Ah, no, they are not somewhere an ND person should go, and if they suffer from social anxiety as well, then really no 🤣 they seem to be a hive of non-productive activity, and you are always at risk from those who get auction fever.

So long dives, stressful days and by the time I was getting home, the idea of looking into the problem with my TM2 was just not on the radar. But, as it turns out, there is a reason why I have a case full of earlier devices, and why I never bought another portable vape after my TM2. I just hadn't realised.

The other distraction has been preparing some of the first issues for my upcoming podcast series. That will be related to the house to begin with, but the subject material will be a little varied 🤣

Anyhow, back to the TM2...

It was odd, the lights lit up, the vibration motor vibrated. I could feel the heat in the body... No vapour.

Then yesterday I decided, my little Dynavap has its uses, my Starry V4 is a brilliant backup but I decided to send my TM2 away for repair. But a quick Google of the symptoms brought me back here, and a post mentioned a loose PCB, and so I looked, and it was loose. I tightened it up, and then felt like a proper udder 🤣

Vapour, and lots of it 😁👍

I had to turn my temperature down....

It was like that magical day that I unboxed it. I was so excited, I forgot who wrote the post, but whoever it was, thank you 👍👋🤝

I was going to be honest, pay the repair cost, and this saved me the cost, and also stopped me looking a bit daft 😁

Now my stem choice is limited....

I have a Grav Upline, and it is nearly perfect. But the shaped mouthpiece annoys me a bit, and it can get a bit hot, certainly when you haven't used a TM2 for a while, and so it is getting a bit of a hammering 🤣

I got an XL ball stem, but it is too cold, although it could be a good one for a serious session.....

But at least now, my TM2 will do justice to whatever the next stem is that I buy 😁👍

(My backup vaporisers are now back in their storage case).

Ok, time for a proper strip and clean

OK, it may be time for a holiday for my TM2

I am thinking that, maybe a week in Finland would be just what is needed.

But before I shell out €99, I was going to give it a service. I look at the maintenance kit with loads of o-rings and I assume that there are lots of things that need cleaning.

So I have unscrewed the long screw, and and found that the end caps are locked on solid.

Should I increase the gusto of the attacks or should I just send it back and get it done properly?

I am a bit late asking, but.....

Hi all, I need help (many people will tell you that is absolutely true 😁), but in all seriousness, I have a bit of a problem. My dog got a little bit frustrated yesterday because he had to stay in the bedroom while I had a visitor. I thought I would be ok, because he likes going in the bedroom by his own choice......

But, no. He didn't like to be told.

And yes there is a point to this pointless ramble; I am setting the scene in your mind.....

So as I closed the back door as my visitor left, I opened the bedroom door and, well, the word feathers doesn't do the scene justice. It was one pillow, but after gathering a bin bag full of feathers, there seems to be a similar amount of feathers stuck to the carpet as there was before. My problem is how do I get rid of them please?

I have a cordless stick vacuum, and that doesn't do anything at all. Because of dog hair, I also have one of those silicone wonder brooms that attracts stuff to it. 'bristles' one one side and a squeegee on the other. And no, it won't touch the feathers, and regardless of which way round I try the brush or squeegee side, it just slides uselessly over the top. The little f.... <cough> feathers seem to be stuck to the pile of the carpet like glue.

Unless you walk near any feathers, because then they happily hitch a ride on your socks before glueing themselves to the carpet in a previously uncontaminated area

(and, yes, it is beginning to drive me to the point it is an existential problem 😊)

Does anyone have any suggestions please?

I have just ordered a corded Vax pet vacuum that is supposed to suck a melon through a garden hose, but will it work with feathers?

For the sake of my sanity, any suggestions would be gratefully received 😁

I just can't believe how many damned feathers are in a single pillowv🤔

Ai bit of playing around 😁

I have been having a bit of fun with AI and changing history slightly.... I was doing some tidying up, and I had half a tin of AVB laying around and generally needing to be tidied away. I was chatting with a friend and came out with a profound statement. I said "The world has got it all wrong, you can have your cake and smoke it too 😁".

That sent my brain down the path of history. I got thinking about the most famous words that Marie Antoinette probably never really said. And my poor frazzled brain gave me an image....

It is a bit hard to describe, but when I started in engineering I drew all of my designs using a drawing board and my set of rotring pens. And I would typically 'copy' what I could see in my mind. When CAD became affordable for normal people, and not just in the realms of BNFL or NASA, and I got my first 3d printer for rapid prototyping, it felt like the world had finally caught up with what I was doing in my head. AI is getting close to that model, and so I created a picture of Marie Antoinette, Louis XVI and Robespierre and I got thinking about how different the world would be if they really did 'let then eat cake' 🤣 Just imagine world history if the Reign of Terror never happened. Would that have stopped WW1 and 2? Just imagine how the world would be today

And then I hit the limits of what AI can currently achieve at a free level. For my inspiration I had my table 😁 and so I tried to have Louis XVI with an Arizer XQ2 and Robespierre with a TM2 PHE. It is close, and really good, but not perfect yet.

Sorry, I haven't had a proper ramble at you all for a while 🤣

I am looking for a partner in crime 🕵️‍♂️

First of all, I meant the title to be metaphorical. This is a legal request 😁

I want to look at developing a little project. It is partially a hardware and a software project. And I am looking for a partner to work with. I can deal with all the CAD work, 3D printing, hardware, and even some of the more basic coding. But I need someone with better coding skills. The proof of concept will be based around an Arduino Giga R4 or an UNO R4 including some HMI and IO.

Please message me if this post is of interest.
