Some Marvel Scaling warm takes.

  • I think White Hot Room level scaling is more abundant than most people think. The main thing that makes this the case is the Elder Gods of Earth, a race of elder gods spawned on Earth by the Demiurge Primordial who include Gaea, Chthon, Set, Oshtur, Atum/Ra/Demogorge, the Utgard Gods from Immortal Thor, and some others. In Immortal Thor, Thor fights on par with a Reborn Zeus who is stated to be superior to Nyx, who embodies the darkness of the Dark Cold Room, which surrounds the White Hot Room. Thor defeats Reborn Zeus and turns all of his power into a rune-magic belt called Yolgjord, which strengthens his defenses to the point of making him invulnerable to God of Stories Loki's magic, which by itself, also sealed true form Nyx briefly. Despite Thor's durability being firmly White Hot Room/Dark Cold Room level (though it was temporarily negated by Amora's story-magic), it was still uncertain if he could challenge the Utgard Gods, all of whom could fatally harm him when they fought.
    • Keep in mind, all the Elder Gods of Earth are relatively equal. We're shown in their origin flashbacks that they battled each other endlessly and would have kept doing so if Atum wasn't born to stop them, and there's a guidebook statement for all Elder Gods being Chthon's equals, plus Toranos calls the Utgard Gods equals. The top 3 are Kemur, who's stated and shown to be the strongest Elder God, Atum/Ra/Demogorge, who's stronger than all Elder Gods including Kemur who fears him, and Demiurge Primordial, who created all Elder Gods from aspects of himself, but the gap between them and the rest isn't infinite or anything.
    • From there, yeah, various characters at their peaks have scaling to the Elder Gods of Earth, like current Wanda, whose scaling to Chthon is well-known, and Base Thor, who has fought Elder God Set, matched Sekhmet who is superior to Atum/Ra, and destroyed the heart of the Demogorge (demonic Atum/Ra). Despite the White Hot Room level scaling being new and controversial, Elder Gods of Earth at a bare minimum are relative to the Chaos King, as Hercules became comparable to him by embracing Gaea's level of godhood.
  • I don't think telepaths are glass cannons. Telepaths get as much respect in Marvel Scaling as speedsters do in DC Scaling, but the hype seems to revolve around their hax and comes with the assumption that they would get blitzed and one-shot if they don't make the first move. Most high-ranking telepaths have feats on the level of Universal Abstracts.
    • I just finished reading all the appearances of the Shadow King a couple months back, a demon who is a cosmic opposite to the Phoenix Force and can reshape the astral plane (which is partially his realm), and Xavier has a truckload of feats/statements matching him in his astral form with his psionic power. There are several statements for Xavier and Shadow King being equal, some coming from Shadow King himself, Xavier had an explicit raw power advantage over Shadow King in their first fight, which was also indicated to be Xavier's first fight with another telepath ever, and Xavier held his own against an amplified Shadow King who was used Proteus as a power source. Xavier has also been stated to be more than a match for Kulan Gath, who is equal to Doctor Strange and absorbed Shuma-Gorath's power over time, and he has a statement for being equal to the Phoenix Force, though I lost it (I know he fought the Phoenix directly, but it was holding back due to Jean's interference).
    • It's not just him. To name a few, Jean Grey has overpowered Nightmare both on Earth and in his realm, and she also helped Xavier block and absorb the energies from an explosion of the Shadow King in the astral plane who was amplified to omnipotence, Psylocke impaled First Fallen, who is another cosmic opposite of the phoenix force (her brother Jamie gave her some reality-warping immunity, but it was never stated to amplify her power afaik), and even a "weaker" telepath like Karma defeated the Shadow King. Keep in mind that in general, telepaths are shown to draw their power from the astral plane, which is the "skin" of Universal Eternity and shore of Universal Oblivion, and many of the mid-ranking to strongest have feats affecting the astral plane. On top of that, telepaths often fight at the "speed of thought," which is the basis for progression of "time" on the astral plane and has immeasurable statements when you consider the consistent immeasurable speed of astral forms, among other things.
