Induction being scheduled for next week.

My OB told me that she wants to schedule an induction due to me being so close to my due date.

What should I expect to happen with the induction?? Also what food should I plan to eat prior to?

Im getting a lottt of nerves about this but I know the end goal is what's going to make this all worth it.

Horrible constipation

How are we handling constipation???

I'm putting my tmi warning here now and venting out what I just experienced.

I know someone here has to be able to relate. I'm 37w5d and OH MY GODDD. I really feel like i just experienced labor before labor.

I've dealt with constipation majority of my pregnancy but it didn't get bad until about 32 weeks.

There was a few times I experienced bleeding, this time to my ultimate surprise there was no blood. But, I spent what feels like over an hour on the toilet. (I couldn't even look at my phone bc of how painful it was. Eyes closed and praying type of pain lmao) I just went yesterday and it was painful but fast.

So, the fact that I was as constipated as I was within a day is very stressful lol.

My boyfriend yelled at me to start taking stool softeners again bc of how bad I was struggling but I took them for 5 days straight the last time and it did nothing for me.

Now, I'm sitting here with horrible pain in my butt and my vagina feels extremely sore.

Has anyone experienced that from straining?? I saw people saying not to strain but when you're sitting there for 20 minutes doing breathing exercises and nothing but pain is happening, your body starts to do what it wants.

I've had a few traumatic moments in the bathroom throughout my pregnancy and this is top 3.

Kind of asking for advice but also posting this to let others know they are not alone in their traumatic bathroom moments.

I have 16 days until my due date and I can't wait to experience normal poos again. 😭

Rear facing car seat issues?

First time mom here.

We have a 2017 LX, not sure if that totally matters.

But, we have been fighting with installing this car seat for a while now trying to get it put in the center seat. I know that's the safest option but it just won't secure properly. There shouldn't be more than an inch of give but its giving us about 3-4in of give.

Should we just do a side seat instead of the center or is there some special trick we aren't finding??

We have the Graco Snugride Lite LX.

TIA!

Do you talk to your baby?

I’m 29 weeks and can honestly say it feels awkward to me to talk to her. I make comments like “oh, don’t kick me there.” but i don’t go out of my way to have a conversation.
my friend asked me if i talked to her and said i should but it doesn’t feel natural to me.
i feel like i won’t be comfortable until i can actually see her and hold her. i like to poke around at her and feel her move but that’s mostly the extent of it.
am i doing something wrong or do others feel the same??
