Creatine, Good or Bad?

I’ve heard that creatine isn’t really the best for weightloss, I understand the affects it has such as water retention and it might make me gain pounds, but I’m really looking to see if it effective for fat loss? I’ve been told not to take it for weight loss but I don’t want to lose much strength whilst working out.

Any advice?
