CF-20MK2 as iPad replacement

CF-20MK2 as iPad replacement

Frustrated of the durability and battery life on an iPad Pro M4 without modem I bought a refurbished CF-20MK2 with built in modem for work, as it's more robust to dust, water droplets and dirty hands. A few years ago at Lufthansa we were issued CF-54 notebooks, bare configuration, and since then wanted a Toughbook. Used also a Getac S410 without touchscreen and the track pad is a pain as many entries are long and require lots of scrolling.

I will upgrade it to a CF33 with keyboard or keep this one for a longer if I find a decently priced keyboard and battery.

Red Wing Blacksmiths

Finally got a pair of proper boots. They will be used for walking. They are more comfortable than expected and still being broken in. From what I see here and on YouTube they will have a nice patina after a while. A good layer of Saphir neutral will be applied as I can leave them to rest for a couple of days. The only sad part is that they are a hassle to take to work as I pass through airport security and I have to remove them each time I go from one area to another.

3345 Blacksmith Black Prairie sizing help

Red Wing is not readily available in my area and online purchases are a faff when it comes to shoes and clothes.

I measured my feet with a digital sizing machine as I also need to buy new running shoes and my current ones give me blisters.

Sole length is 266mm for left and 267mm for right, 10,472 inches

Width is 101mm, 3.97638 inches.

Found a pair of lightly used due to improper sizing on an local classifieds site that are Euro 41, US 8/UK 7 width D. The seller states that he has 27.4cm long soles and these are to small for him.

Any advice from owners or fans of Red Wing?

I want to use them as casual shoes, as for work I use Haix because of ESD requirements and S3 toe protection standard.

Enduro 3 after one year of use

I bought it last year as an upgrade from an Instinct 2. Restarted running after a colleague roasted me for getting a performance device ment for top athletes. So went and purchased a pair of Asics and ran the hell out of them using the Garmin Coach features. The battery is great, between 21 to 28 days of range in normal smart watch mode with nightly SpO2 measurements and running about 50k per week. I prefer the MIP display as it's readable in any condition and light. I use the built in memory to store maps and YouTube Music that works great with AirPods Pro 3.

After the latest update I see that randomly it doesn't connect to the app to refresh the weather or upload an activity that has been saved.

The HRM-600 is a great addition to it for Zone 2 running, threshold, interval or even base within a specific range as it's more precise than the optical sensor.

I don't find myself buying the Enduro 4 when it will appear as this one is working great and can't fault it.

The scratches are from work as I use it non-stop and as maintenance engineer I stick my hands in various places with sharp edges, and most components in an airplane engine are made out of titanium or stainless steel that takes is toll on the watch. The only watches that held better were the Suunto Ambit Tactical and Suunto Spartan Ultra Titanium that had a more slippery finish that resisted much better.

Having a type I to II skin I can't stay for long periods in the sun to check how the solar charger is behaving.
