I started a relocation consultancy for Americans moving to Spain

Advice on how to get clients?
Sales and marketing is not my strength, but of course I need to do it.
My strengths or more, operational, project management, coordination, etc.
This consultancy requires me to push myself in a different way.

I was thinking creating groups on all social platforms to start getting my positioning out there. I have a website ready that explains what it is, my story, along with services provided.

I’ve made this move myself, which is my “founder story”.

Any advice?

How long did it take you to move abroad?

It took me six months to gather everything I needed for the visa (I could’ve done this faster, but needed to sort work stuff out) when I finally made the decision to go for it. I moved from the US to Spain on the DNV.

Considering document gathering, appointments, etc.

I turned my move from the U.S. to Spain into a relocation startup. Looking for feedback.

I lost a big contract last year after I moved to Barcelona from the States.

Instead of trying to go back into tech ops/project management full time, I decided to test something that felt more aligned with my actual life experience:

Helping Americans relocate to Spain.

I moved from the U.S. to Barcelona myself. The move was exciting, but it's a lot to navigate and organize:

  • visas
  • paperwork
  • banking
  • taxes
  • housing
  • bureaucracy
  • timelines
  • culture differences and expectations
  • figuring out what order everything happens in

There are tons of blogs and “ultimate guides” online, but not a lot that actually help people organize the process in a personal, practical way with a human touchpoint navigating the process WITH you

So this week I built a very simple landing page for a relocation planning service:
relocation.kozubandco.com

The site is intentionally minimal. No giant agency feel. No “move abroad dream life” marketing. Just straightforward help from someone who actually went through it recently.

What I realized during my own move is that even when you have the information, it’s still hard to keep all the moving pieces organized and know what to prioritize next. And also how important it is to have a personal touch along the way.

Mostly sharing because:

  1. I’m trying to build more publicly
  2. I know a lot of people are considering leaving the U.S.
  3. I’m curious whether people think there’s actual demand for relocation planning/support outside of traditional legal services

Would genuinely love feedback on:

  • the positioning
  • whether the site feels trustworthy
  • whether the offer itself makes sense
  • anything that feels unclear/confusing

Hi all, I’m an ops consultant with 15 yrs experience.

Looking to build case studies to help others create an organized foundation as they build their business.

I’ll see where we can optimize your Google plan so you have less tools, less complex workflows, less noise. You’ll be able to connect any other tool that’s necessary where needed.
You’ll get:
-SOPs
-READMEs
-Looms
-Google workspace structured
-Where to utilize AI

If interested, feel free to comment and I’ll reach out directly.

I’ve been questioning if I should abandon what I’ve been trying to build.

I have 15 years of ops experience with a few years of PM experience as well.

I’ve put myself out there on LinkedIn with my business but I think I may be in over my head.

I built a system for a specific sector of businesses to streamline workflows.

I don’t know if what I’m feeling is imposter syndrome, or if I should just push forward with freelancing.

I’ve always wanted to have independent work, but after getting let go awhile back, it provided that extra fuel for me to push forward in starting my own business. Right now though, I have no case studies with what I do, it just looks like a pretty package.

Trying to sell your experience isn’t easy. Just not sure what to do. I didn’t expect it to be easy, but also with the rapid changing of AI I’m curious if my business would even work in this climate.

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

I have an ops consultancy and am in early stages looking to build momentum. If you have a small professional services agency or small startup and are a bit lost on the ops side of things, I bring 15 years of experience and happy to help.
