Power cuts in Noida are common. It’s the DG running which causes financial loss

Power cuts in summers is a phenomenon that we all grew up with. Although summers in noida are not designed to handle power cuts.

The real killer is not the power cuts but the hefty and inhuman cost that we incur when we run the DG sets for power supply. For obvious reasons TV, Fridge, lights, AC will run.

If you look at the pre-paid meter (which most societies have), you will be shocked at the consumption. How quickly the balance in these meters dwindle down?

In the night you don’t realise but almost 40% times, your society is running on DG.

What is the solution?

Civic sense in Noida is sub-zero

Was out early morning for walking my dog. I always carry pick up bags for dog poop.

Since last couple of days, I have seen that the parking outside the societies are littered with empty beer bottles/ cans, namkeen n chakhna packets, cigarette butts and occasionally used condoms.

This is the nocturnal activity post 11-12 in the night when the guards are also kind of sleepy plus they don’t dare to disturb “car-o-bar”.

Today it was the worst, there were bottles smashed on the road and on the curb with 100% guarantee of hurting anyone. Glass shards were everywhere. Plastic disposable glasses. The whole area reeked of alcohol because they just there the unfinished bottle.

It it’s disgusting. No civic sense. Not thinking that in the dark when some one goes for a walk or a jog, shards might pierce, people may get hurt?

All this for what? Some high? You yourself might get hurt on your drunken state.

This is sector 78!

I am a 17/12/1974 Sag.

Been trying to make things work for a very very long time but everything is a mess.

I am an atheist but with every single passing day, I think I need some divine intervention and guidance.

At loss. Not being able to figure out life. Don’t want to live day on day. Just want to shine and reclaim everything.

What is the way?

There is a kids brand called “Kiddipoo”. They sell children’s clothes mostly.

Had ordered a night suit for my son. Wanted it to be delivered via express delivery because normal delivery was taking quite a long time.

They charged me 300 rupees extra for a 3 days delivery. The package arrived in 6 days. Now they are refusing to refund the money they charged for express delivery.

It’s peak summer and temperatures are rising every day. Right on cue, my 2-ton Samsung AC decided to start heating instead of cooling. This has become an annual issue where the gas coolant level drops and needs refilling.

Here’s what happened step by step:

Sunday, 19 April 2026

I called the customer care number listed on Samsung’s website (1800-572-6768). I was redirected to WhatsApp support. After multiple attempts, I finally managed to register a complaint around 7:22 PM.

Nothing happened.

Monday, 20 April 2026

Since there was no response, I registered another complaint via WhatsApp around 1:50 PM.

Later, I received a call from an engineer named Rahil Khan who said he would come in the evening to refill the gas coolant. He never showed up.

Tuesday, 21 April 2026 (Morning)

I got another call from the service center. The representative insisted that gas refilling falls under “repairs,” while my request was logged under “services,” and therefore she cancelled my service request. This only added to the confusion.

I called customer care again and explained everything, so a new ticket was opened.

Same day, around 1 PM

Mr. Rahil Khan finally arrived. He checked the unit, did some basic cleaning, and claimed he had refilled the gas. He told us to run the AC for four hours to see the effect.

He charged ₹3550 and initially insisted on cash, but I paid via UPI instead.

Problems after service:

The AC is still not cooling

It seems to be putting pressure on the compressor

We had to switch it off to avoid damage

He did not provide any receipt

I only have the UPI transaction proof

Since then:

He has repeatedly promised to come back

He keeps delaying

Now he is disconnecting calls

I have escalated the issue to customer care again, but so far there is no resolution.

This experience raises serious concerns:

No accountability

Demand for cash payments

No receipt issued

Poor service quality

Lack of follow-up

Has anyone else faced similar issues with Samsung service centers?

What is the best way to escalate this — consumer court, brand escalation, or something else?

Any advice would be appreciated. A picture of the scammer is included.
