This year I gave a second life to fewer small turtles, only because the number of adult turtles laying eggs in the area where we stop to rest every summer is much smaller than last year. Just don't tell me they would have survived on their own, they are very far from the sea, they already lack strength and there are a lot of obstacles in the form of plastic, incredibly many this year. They are also hunted by birds, which have also increased this year. The fact is, this year three turtles were saved! Victory! 🇺🇦❤️🇨🇾
Last year I saw a small one by the terrace of the house, and this year, not far from the house, I saw a field of watermelons, two big ones 🙄
After years as a die-hard Dell and Alienware guy, I’m finally switching. A few things on Dell’s side pushed me over the edge, and today my first ever MacBook Pro landed on my desk.
It’s a 16” 2021 model, and somehow it’s factory-new in 2026. Completely unused, one battery cycle, and even that was just the store checking battery health before selling it.
So this is goodbye to Dell and Alienware, and hello to my first Mac. Now the real fun begins, figuring out macOS Tahoe 😊
So this is the story of how I got my first Mac ever, after a whole lifetime on PCs. I started way back on Windows 3.11 (yeah, I’m old) and went all the way up to 11.
I spent ages looking for a nice 16” MacBook Pro. It didn’t have to be brand-new, just in good shape. Then I found an eBay listing from a store and the thing was completely unused. One battery cycle, and even that was only because they opened the box to check the battery health 😳. It’s 2026 and there are still factory-new 2021 MBPs out there. Pretty wild.
After reading through the listing and getting answers to my questions, I went for it. Shipping took a little while, and now it’s sitting on my desk next to the other laptops in the house. I was a die-hard Dell and Alienware guy for years, but a few things on Dell’s side finally pushed me to switch.
Here’s the annoying part. When I activated it, I got no standard one-year warranty and no option to buy AppleCare. Apple can clearly see the machine is new, that I was the first to activate it, and that it’s undamaged. But their argument is that it was sold by an authorized reseller back in 2023, so the warranty clock started from that date 😢. I really wish I could have bought the extended coverage.
Anyway, that’s the whole saga. Now I’m busy trying to figure out macOS Tahoe 😊
One more thing. Apple’s support has been a lot friendlier and more helpful than Dell’s ever was
OMG! My son dreams of iMac G3, but as we doesn’t have, yet, the free money and the space for that, he’s built this iMac for himself. I’m proud him! ❤️

Does anyone else use coffee from their coffee maker to feed their plants, or perhaps for something else?
My 720m broke down. After several days of contacting them and running tests, support decided it needed replacing. It’s been over two weeks now, and every time I get in touch they say they don’t have the spare parts in stock. Are Dell/Alienware lying again?
