Went to the dealer for an oil change and couldn’t help but notice when the engine was cold, the level seemed way over the max dot.
I ran the engine for ten minutes, then let it sit for five, and these are the results, still over the line.
Everything today is closed for Canada Day, including the Subaru dealer and mechanics nearby, and I need to drive about two hours home.
Will it be ok?
Beside myself right now, unsure if I should accompany my parents with their dog to her final vet appointment.
For context, I saw my last two childhood dogs put down in my teens. My families were in separate houses that both had a dog around the same age, so naturally they were 12 when I was 18 and were put down from illness/old age within a year of each other. I went both of those times, held both of them as they passed. This was ten-ish years ago now, and I remember and feel those last moments like it was yesterday. I get teary eyed just thinking about them. One that was euthanized did a big gasp as her final breath, and I remembered it scared me.
I want to be strong enough to be with this one in her final moments and I’m also worried that if I don’t go, I’ll always regret it. However, if I do go, it’s another memory that I’ll be reliving along with my previous childhood dog’s final vet appointments.
Did anyone have a similar situation?
Is this a substantial change, or is it barely budging?
