I’ve turned off both Bluetooth and WiFi and connected to the front port using Apple USBC and I only get options for wireless CarPlay. I’d rather use my cord. Any help?
Just noticed a whistle that seems to be coming from my sunroof when it is closed. It starts around 30 mph I can't hear it with the sun shade in place. I did just add a roof rack, but also very rarely drive with the shade open but the sun roof closed so I don't really know if it has always been like this. Anyone else deal experience this?
Wanting to know if my car will be okay towing a 725lb trailer uphill for camping in the mountains. I’m not driving more than around 2 hours and the drive would mainly be a slight uphill grade that turns into about 6% for 45 mins or so. It’s well below the to capacity (1500) but after reading everyone’s opinions on the CVT I’m worried. Thanks!
I have 55,000 miles and had my tear brakes rotors and pads replaced at last oil change . I dont feel like everything is braking properly when i need to brake at higher speeds 65- 75 . Think I probably need new front brakes ??
Hi guys, I recently purchased a 2013 crosstrek with 99k miles on it, I now have 112k miles on her. Im not sure when it started, or if it has always done this, but when I'm accelerating I feel a little jerking feeling right between 20-30 mph. I did a cvt drain/fill, the fluid didn't look too bad. The previous owner kept up with it.
Does anyone have any idea what this could be? I know its the first year for the cvt which sucks for me because its the guinea pig year. Is this just how this cvt normally acts? Does it always have a little "jerk" or "feeling" of switching gears at this speed? I have zero problems at any other speed. It does not jerk when its slowing down from a stop.
One thing I did hear (from AI) is that there was a TSB from subaru to come get the cvt flashed to update the software which can get rid of the slow speed jerk. Is this true? I plugged in my scanner and checked, and my cvt does have the factory software version, so it never got a flash. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I am trying to get ram bars that are on “B” but there are almost no bars except for one that I found for $6k. I have found a couple bars that are like “A” but I don’t think it would do really anything if a deer or something jumps in front of my car. Anyone know of any other bars that are like “B” that won’t be killing my wallet?
Looking to purchase my second Subaru and found this crosstrek at a great price, wanted to get some feedback before purchasing.
The vehicle has been maintained routinely throughout its life and ownership. It has had two previous owners. No accidents, clean title, great body and a bit of a cosmetic damage on the interior, nothing a detail wouldn't take care of.
I will not be offloading or doing anything crazy with the crosstrek, simply a daily driver and an occasional road trip now and then.
The only thing that is putting me off is the mileage. It currently is at 220k. Both my Hondas are well over 220k and running just fine as I maintain them in accordance with their needs.
Any opinions, insights and suggestions are welcome! Please and thank you!
As the title says. I noticed that pretty much all but the driver side and front speakers are blown in my car. While I’m at it I just wanna do a full upgrade, especially with ones that can handle a good amount of bass and volume. Any recommendations or anything like that?
I have a question regarding fuel octane for my Subaru Crosstrek (naturally aspirated engine). The owner's manual recommends using high-octane fuel (Premium/Extra), but I currently live in an area that sits at 8,200 feet (2,500 meters) above sea level.
From what I understand, at higher elevations, the atmospheric pressure is lower, which reduces the risk of engine knocking. Consequently, the engine's octane requirement drops as well.
Given this context: Is it actually worth spending the extra money on Premium gas? Or is it safe to run Regular fuel at this altitude without affecting performance or risking long-term engine damage?
I'd love to hear from any Subaru owners living at high altitudes. What has your experience been?
Thanks in advance!
Stock photo. I’m wondering what people have done for lift kids on specifically the Wilderness trim. What lift size? Kit? How did the handling change? TIA
Hey all. Have a 26 Crosstrek Premium that I bought in Dec of 25 that is coming up on my 12k service (every 6k). Was told when I got the 6k service done that I would need an alignment done at the next one. In so many words the guy at the service counter said that I may not think I would need one, but I would begin to notice (or something to that effect) that one would be needed.
Now my thing is that I’ve had this car for 5 months now and we are already talking this. Is this absolutely necessary when I make my service appt for my next service?
Thoughts and opinions welcome since this is new to me especially with a car that only has 12k on it.
Gas prices are insane. Does it hurt the engine or the gas mileage
I’m having a hard time choosing which car to get. I am going to the dealership to test drive them both tomorrow and negotiate pricing. I previously had a 2018 crosstrek premium that I totaled so they would both be upgrades for me. The prices aren’t too far off from each other and I can see myself in both cars. It basically comes down to a newer car with more miles vs slightly older car with half the miles. What do you think is the best choice? Which would you choose?
Option 1: 2023 Subaru crosstrek Sport in Crystal Black (19k miles) =$26,777 listed price
Option 2: 2025 Subaru crosstrek Premium in Pearl White w/moonroof (38k miles) =$25,977 listed price
UPDATE: I went with the 2023 sport for 28.6k OTD
And of course that night another was listed at carmax in the cool blue grey color with a moonroof for the same price. Sorta beating myself up about it but oh well. Thanks for all the input guys!
Hi! I’m about to be 16 and my parents got my first car. It’s a 2013 orange Subaru Crosstrek in really good condition. I love it, but I’m worried about what other people will think about the color. I’ve showed a few friends and they’ve said I am going to get made fun of for it, and I’m starting to second guess if it’s actually looks good or not. Please help!
EDIT: I understand that I am incredibly lucky and I’m so grateful for my family and what they do for me. I really just wanted to hear people’s opinions because of the negative feedback I’ve been getting from friends, that’s all.
Installed the LimitlessParts blue bumper letters on my '24 CTW. Not a completely perfect fit, but pretty close, and the blue does not really match the blue of the car, but I'm happy with the way it looks :)
If you bought a new cross trek in 2026, what did you pay? We’re looking at either the base or premium (probably premium!). Were you able to get it at MSRP?
The dealerships quoted us slightly over MSRP (plus fees) and we’re trying to see what room we have to negotiate.
Hola, me acabo de comprar un crosstrek azul zafiro versión base en Chile, y viene con ampolletas amarillas en el faro, arriba del intermitente, me gustaría saber qué modelo es para cambiársela por una led, igual que la de los neblineros
