Looking for advice

Hello you fine people of the Crosstrek community!

I am not very well versed in the Crosstrek and would like some objective real world advice from the people who actually live with these vehicles day to day. My sister is looking at purchasing a 2018 Crosstrek with a manual trans. I am hoping to get some insight as to any engine, trans, suspension, or other notable issues she should be on the lookout for when checking this vehicle over. I would like to go with her to drive it but it may not be possible so I want to make sure I give her a solid check list.

Any help is greatly appreciated

🐇🤜🤛🐇

Went for a quick run out of the office and parked next to this awesome custom painted GTI. Ended up giving the owner a bit of a scare as she rounded the back of her car to see me crouching low taking my pic lol. Super cool person with a nicely modded car.

SC💛

A few weeks ago I had a customer come in for a set of new tires on his 80’s 911. I was absolutely taken with the vehicle and couldn’t help but shoot a few quick pics (with his permission of course).

I wish I had done some shots of the interior because it was really tastefully done. Hope you all enjoy this as much as I do.

Edit: thanks to bobber66 for pointing out that this is likely not an SC.

New faucet slowly leaking

Hello plumbers of Reddit I need your help please.

Two days ago I installed a new faucet in my bathroom basin and it started leaking immediately. I have installed many faucets and never had a problem before but this one is giving me trouble.

Initially I screwed up and used bathtub silicone caulk on the drain to seal the basin (I learned very quickly that was a dumb move). I removed the drain, thoroughly cleaned everything up and replaced the silicone with a generous rope of plumber’s putty. Tested the drain with the stopper in and a full sink of water. NO LEAKS.

A day later I noticed a few drops of water inside the cabinet so I dried off the pipe, put the drain plug in and filled the basin. Again no leaks. I then washed my hands and checked one last time, the leak is coming from the threads at the bottom of the drain where the rubber gasket seals the overflow drain in (you can see water in first picture at the top). I have tried to loosen and reposition the stopper and then tighten the bottom nut that supports it again and this does not help. What am I missing here?

TLDR: sink leaks from overflow drain water and drips past rubber gasket at bottom through the threads.

New shoes

Lucked my way into a set of Audi Q5 wheels for my 8.5. For anyone curious they are a very conservative 19x8 +39ET.
